A couch device according to an embodiment includes a couchtop, shape control members, and driving circuitry. The couchtop includes a movable base couchtop and a transformable couchtop mounted above the movable base couchtop and capable of bending a part thereof from a flat shape. The shape control members control the shape of the transformable couchtop. The driving circuitry moves the couchtop to an opening of a gantry device that collects data for taking medical images. The transformable couchtop includes divided couchtops, and transformation support members for fixing the transformable couchtop to the movable base couchtop are fitted to divided sections. Each of the shape control members adjusts a position of a specific transformation support member so that an installation location thereof is a fixed point of the movable base couchtop.

An image processing system is provided, including an accepting unit, an acquisition unit, a measuring unit, and an output unit. The accepting unit accepts the setting of two coordinates in a stereoscopic image of a subject displayed on a stereoscopic image display device. The acquisition unit acquires volume data coordinates that are coordinates corresponding to stereoscopic image coordinates indicating the accepted coordinates. The measuring unit executes a measuring process of measuring the distance between the two coordinates accepted by the accepting unit, based on the volume data coordinates acquired by the acquisition unit. The output unit outputs a result of measurement by the measuring unit.

A reconstruction unit (a pre-processor, a reconstruction unit and an image processor) generates a reconstruction image based on output from the X-ray detector. A correction parameter storage stores correction parameters in time series, the correction parameters being used for correction by which noise or artifact is reduced in processing performed by the reconstruction image unit. A correction parameter analysis unit determines whether or not an abnormal condition occurs based on a temporal change in the correction parameters stored in the correction parameter storage. A notification unit issues a notification indicating the occurrence of an abnormal condition where the correction parameter analysis unit determines that the abnormal state has occurred.

A condition on the attribute of an image for generating multi-frame image data containing a plurality of frames of images per file from image data is stored beforehand. When image data is received, multi-frame image data is generated from the received image data based on incidental information contained in the image data and the condition stored beforehand. Then, the generated multi-frame image data is archived. When a request for an image is made by a certain terminal, an application functioning on the terminal is identified, and multi-frame image data appropriate for the application is sent from among the generated multi-frame image data.

A computer tomography apparatus of the present invention can select one of an ON state in which X-ray radiation is performed to continuously acquire projection data and an OFF state in which acquisition of projection data is stopped, and even in the OFF state, rotation of an X-ray tube is continued, thus allowing quick switching from the OFF state to the ON state.
