An electrophotographic apparatus is constituted by an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a charging member, developing device and transfer device. The charging member is disposed contactable to the photosensitive member and supplied with a voltage so as to charge the photosensitive member. The photosensitive member includes a metal support, a photosensitive layer disposed on the support, and a surface layer disposed on the photosensitive layer. The surface layer has a volume resistivity of 1.times.10.sup.10 -1.times.10.sup.15 ohm.cm, and the metal support has a surface-oxidized film at its surface provided with the photosensitive layer. The use of the above surface layer and the above metal support in combination is effective in stably performing good injection charging.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member is constituted by disposing charge generation layer and a charge transport layer in succession on a support. The charge generation layer contains oxytitanium phthalocyanine, an azo pigment and a hindered phenol. The electrophotographic photosensitive member including such a charge generation layer is usable for providing an apparatus unit and an electrophotographic apparatus showing excellent electrophotographic characteristics such as a suppressed photomemory, good potential stability in repetitive use and good image-forming properties.

An image forming apparatus has a photosensitive member, a charging device, an image exposure device for exposing the photosensitive member to form a latent image, a developing device for developing the latent image with a toner to form a transferable toner image on the surface of the photosensitive member, a transfer device for transferring the toner image to a transfer material, and a cleaning device for removing a residual toner; the charging device, image exposure device, developing device, transfer device and cleaning device being disposed in the named order along the moving direction of the photosensitive member. The charging device includes an electroconductive member which directly contacts the photosensitive member surface to charge the photosensitive member surface. The electroconductive member forms a nip width with the photosensitive member of at least 0.5 mm and a load per unit contact area between the electroconductive member and photosensitive member is between 0.5-30 g/mm.sup.2. With respect to the longitudinal direction of the photosensitive member, the width of the photosensitive member surface cleaned by the cleaning device is equal to or greater than the width of the photosensitive member surface contacting the electroconductive member.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member has a conductive support and a photosensitive layer provided on the conductive support. The photosensitive layer contains an oxytitanium phthalocyanine having intense peaks at 9.0.degree., 14.2.degree., 23.9.degree. and 27.1.degree. in the Bragg angle (2.theta..+-.0.2.degree.) of CuK.alpha. characteristics X-ray diffraction or an oxytitanium phthalocyanine having intense peaks at 7.4.degree., 9.2.degree., 10.4.degree., 11.6.degree., 13.0.degree., 14.3.degree., 15.0.degree., 15.5.degree., 23.4.degree., 24.1.degree., 26.2.degree. and 27.2.degree. in the Bragg angle (2.theta..+-.0.2.degree.) of CuK.alpha. characteristics X-ray diffraction, and further contains a non-metallic phthalocyanine.

A dual inline package switch assembly containing one or more separate electrical switches is disclosed which comprises an insulating housing consisting of a base and a cover to provide an interior space. The cover has at least one slit extending into the interior space in alignment with the switch. At least one actuating member is movably provided within the interior space and is formed integrally with an operating stub positioned in the slit for selectively braking and making an electrical connection between a pair of contacts fixed on the base in aligned and spaced relation. The slit has a center neck whose width is slightly smaller than the diameter of the operating stub for detenting movement of the actuating member. The actuating member side walls is positioned on housing base rails to maintain constant pressure between the actuating member conductive bridging strip and fixed pair of contacts.
