The present invention relates to a system () for applying at least two kinds of liquid onto respective targeted areas of a substrate (S). The system () includes first and second storage unit () that accommodate first and second liquids (F, F); a pressured gas supply unit () that is fluidly connected to the first and second storage unit (); first and second applicator () that are fluidly connected to the first and second storage unit (); and a controller () that is operatively connected to the applicator (). The pressured gas supply unit () causes pressure of a pressured gas to act on the liquids (F, F) within the storage unit (). The first and second applicator () each include at least one nozzle () disposed so as to face the substrate (S). The first and second applicator () spray the first and second liquids (F, F) within the first and second storage unit () from the nozzles () toward the substrate (S) by the action of the pressured gas from the pressured gas supply unit (). The controller () individually controls the first and second applicator () so that the first applicator () sprays the first liquid (F) toward a targeted area for the first liquid (F) on the substrate (S) and the second applicator () sprays the second liquid (F) toward a targeted area for the second liquid (F) on the substrate (S). The present invention also relates to a method for applying at least two kinds of liquid onto respective targeted areas of a substrate (S).

The ferritic stainless steel foil has a composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.050% or less, Si: 0.20% or less, Mn: 0.20% or less, P: 0.050% or less, S: 0.0050% or less, Cr: 10.5% or more and 20.0% or less, Ni: 0.01% or more and 1.00% or less, Al: more than 1.5% and less than 3.0%, Cu: 0.01% or more and 1.00% or less, N: 0.10% or less, and further contains one or more elements selected from Ti: 0.01% or more and 1.00% or less, Zr: 0.01% or more and 0.20% or less, and Hf: 0.01% or more and 0.20% or less, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities. This enables a composite layer of an Al oxide layer and a Cr oxide layer to be formed on the surface of the ferritic stainless steel foil in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere at 800&#xb0; C. or more.

Provided is stainless steel foil that is suitably used for forming a catalyst carrier for an exhaust gas purifying facility, the catalyst carrier being installed in a vehicle that discharges exhaust gas having a temperature lower than the temperature of exhaust gas of a gasoline-powered automobile. The ferritic stainless steel foil contains, by mass %, C: 0.05% or less, Si: 2.0% or less, Mn: 1.0% or less, S: 0.005% or less, P: 0.05% or less, Cr: 11.0% to 25.0%, Ni: 0.05% to 0.30%, Al: 0.01% to 1.5%, Cu: 0.01% to 2.0%, N: 0.10% or less, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities.

Provided are a ferritic stainless steel having a corrosion resistance at a certain level or more and a temper-color removal performance at a certain level or more and a method for manufacturing the ferritic stainless steel. A ferritic stainless steel has a composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.001% to 0.030%, Si: 0.03% to 0.30%, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.01% or less, Cr: more than 22.0% to 28.0%, Mo: 0.2% to 3.0%, Al: 0.01% to 0.15%, Ti: more than 0.30% to 0.80%, V: 0.001% to 0.080%, and N: 0.001% to 0.050%; Mn: 0.05% to 0.30% and Ni: 0.01% to 5.00%, or Mn: 0.05% to 2.00% and Ni: 0.01% to 0.30%; Nb: 0.05% or less as an optional component; and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, and the steel has a surface where TiN having a grain diameter of 1 &#x3bc;m or more is distributed at a density of 30 particles/mmor more.

Ferritic stainless steel and method for manufacturing the same

According to aspects of the invention, provided are an Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Al-based stainless steel sheet which has improved manufacturability by improving the toughness of a hot-rolled steel sheet and a cold-rolled steel sheet without deteriorating oxidation resistance at a high temperature and shape stability when used at a high temperature, and a stainless steel foil which is manufactured by rolling the stainless steel sheet. V and B are added in combination to Fe&#x2014;Cr&#x2014;Al-based stainless steel in amounts within specified ranges. Specifically, V content is controlled to be 0.010% or more and 0.050% or less and B content is controlled to be 0.0001% or more and 0.0050% or less, in which the relationship {V content (V %)}/{B content (B %)}&#x3e;10 is satisfied.

A semi-organic insulation coating includes an inorganic component and an organic resin, a Zr compound and an Si compound contains a plate-like silica as an inorganic component and are included in a ratio in a dry coating of 20 to 70 mass % of Zr compound (converted to ZrO) and 10 to 50 mass % of Si compound containing plate-like silica (converted to SiO), and the remainder is substantially an organic resin, whereby a magnetic steel sheet with a semi-organic insulation coating has no deterioration of corrosion resistance and water resistance without containing a chromium compound and being excellent in powdering resistance, scratch resistance, sticking resistance, TIG weldability, punchability and coating appearance.

The invention provides ferritic stainless steels exhibiting good weldability and excellent corrosion resistance even under such welding conditions that sensitization is induced. The ferritic stainless steel includes, by mass %, C: 0.001 to 0.030%, Si: more than 0.3 to 0.55%, Mn: 0.05 to 0.50%, P: not more than 0.05%, S: not more than 0.01%, Cr: 19.0 to 28.0%, Ni: 0.01 to less than 0.30%, Mo: 0.2 to 3.0%, Al: more than 0.08 to 1.2%, V: 0.02 to 0.50%, Cu: less than 0.1%, Nb: 0.005 to 0.50%, Ti: 0.05 to 0.50%, and N: 0.001 to 0.030%, the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, the ferritic stainless steel satisfying Equations (1) and (2).

Provided is a ferritic stainless steel excellent in terms of thermal fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance without adding Mo or W, which is an expensive chemical element and with controlling the Nb content to be as small as possible. Provided is a ferritic stainless steel excellent in terms of thermal fatigue resistance, high-temperature fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance without adding Mo or W, which is an expensive chemical element and with controlling Nb content to be as small as possible. The chemical composition contains, by mass %, C: 0.020% or less, Si: 3.0% or less, Mn: 3.0% or less, P: 0.040% or less, S: 0.030% or less, Cr: 10% to 25%, N: 0.020% or less, Nb: 0.005% to 0.15%, Al: 0.20% to 3.0%, Ti: 5&#xd7;(C %+N %) to 0.5%, Mo: 0.1% or less, W: 0.1% or less, Cu: 0.55% to 2.0%, B: 0.0002% to 0.0050%, Ni: 0.05% to 1.0%, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, where C % and N % in the expression 5&#xd7;(C %+N %) respectively represent the contents (mass %) of the chemical elements C and N.

Zinc based plating layers, a chromium-free chemical conversion coating disposed on the zinc based plating layer, and a colored single organic coating which is disposed on the chemical conversion coating and which contains a polyester resin having a hydroxyl value of 10 KOHmg/g or more, an imino-containing melamine resin, and 5 to 15 percent by mass of carbon black are included, wherein the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the organic coating is 40&#xb0; C. or higher, the film thickness is 10 &#x3bc;m or less, and the hardness is 200 N/mmor more.

Black-coated steel sheet, worked material, and panel for flat-panel television

A black galvanized steel sheet including a composite coating layer formed on a surface of a blackened galvanized steel sheet by applying a treatment solution containing a phosphate ion, a vanadate ion, a metal ion, an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a glycoluril resin; and an organic resin layer formed on the composite coating layer, is provided. The black galvanized steel sheet is excellent in heat absorption and heat dissipation, electrical conductance, and corrosion resistance in a worked portion. Furthermore, the black galvanized steel sheet does not include hexavalent chromium.

Black zinc-plated steel sheet

In the present application, a steel sheet having surface-treated zinc-based plating is provided which comprises a zinc-based plating layer, a chromium-free conductive intermediate layer and an organic resin layer, all of the layers being superimposed one on another in the order mentioned. Even though it is of a so-called chromium-free surface-treated steel sheet, the steel sheet is more conductive and more highly resistant to corrosion than conventional chromium-free steel sheets, the likelihood of water pollution is reduced, and the steel sheet can be used in various applications as a replacement for conventional chromate-treated steel sheets.

Surface treated zinc-based metal plated steel sheet

The coating composition includes a methacrylic resin prepared by copolymerization of styrene or a substituted styrene (A), a methacrylic ester obtained from an alcohol having at least two carbon atoms and methacrylic acid (B), and an olefinic compound having at least one carboxylic group (C), in which the molar ratio thereof is 1:(0.05 to 44.5):(0.12 to 13). A metal sheet lubricated with the coating composition has superior characteristics of dissolution of the film in an alkaline solution, chemical processing, paint dryness, blocking resistance, corrosion resistance, stability of coating composition, and press formability (powdering resistance and galling resistance).

A composition for metal surface treatment which comprises an aluminum ion, a magnesium ion, a manganese ion, a water-soluble organic resin, an acid and water; and a surface treated metal material which has been treated with the composition. The resultant surface treated metal material is free from the danger of water contamination owing to chromium, since the composition is free of chromium, and also is excellent in both electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Accordingly, the metal material can be used in a wide variety of applications in place of a conventional chromate-treated steel sheet and the like.

A highly corrosion resistant steel sheet for fuel tank comprising a lowermost layer of Zn or Zn-based plating layer deposited on each side of the steel sheet; a chemical conversion film deposited on each of the Zn or Zn-based plating layer; a metal powder-containing organic resin film deposited on one of the chemical conversion film, said metal powder-containing organic resin film containing Al and Ni metal powders and an amine modified epoxy resin; and a silica-containing organic resin film deposited on the other chemical conversion film, said silica-containing organic resin film containing at least one resin having at least one functional group selected from hydroxyl group, isocyanate group, carboxyl group, glycidyl group, and amino group; silica; and a lubricant. The steel sheet of the present invention has excellent corrosion resistance, press workability, resistance weldability and brazing ability, and therefore, the steel sheet of the present invention is particularly useful when it is used in contact with an alcohol or an alcohol-blended gasoline.
