A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor includes a rotation shaft, a housing, a swash plate, two cylinder bores, a double-headed piston, and two shoes. The double-headed piston includes two shoe holders, a neck, two heads, and two coupling portions. Each of the coupling portions includes an outer portion and an inner portion. A direction orthogonal to both of an opposing direction of the inner portion and the outer portion and the axial direction of the double-headed piston is referred to as a widthwise direction. The neck is larger in the widthwise direction than in the opposing direction so that the neck is deformable in the opposing direction. Each of the two coupling portions has a width that is less than or equal to a width of the neck. The inner portion includes a narrow portion. The narrow portion is at least partially located closer to the head than the shoe holder in the inner portion. The two coupling portions are deformable in the widthwise direction when the swash plate applies load to the double-headed piston.

Double-headed piston type swash plate compressor

A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor includes a rotation shaft, a housing, a swash plate, two cylinder bores, a double-headed piston, and two shoes. The double-headed piston includes two shoe holders, a neck, two heads, and two coupling portions. Each of the coupling portions includes an outer portion and an inner portion. A direction orthogonal to both of an opposing direction of the inner portion and the outer portion and the axial direction of the double-headed piston is referred to as a widthwise direction. The inner portion includes a narrow portion and a wide portion. The wide portion projects out of the narrow portion in the widthwise direction and has a larger width than the narrow portion. An outer surface of the wide portion is slidable on a wall surface of the corresponding cylinder bore when the double-headed piston reciprocates in the cylinder bores.

A variable displacement compressor includes a swash plate, a housing and a displacement control valve. The housing has a crank chamber where the swash plate is disposed, a discharge chamber and a suction chamber. The housing has plural bolt holes and is formed by separate members fastened together by plural bolts inserted through the bolt holes. The displacement control valve has a first valve member movable to connect the crank chamber and the discharge chamber, controlling the position of the first valve member to vary compressor displacement. The displacement control valve has a valve chamber and a second valve member serving to connect the crank chamber and the suction chamber in the valve chamber. The valve chamber is connected to the crank chamber by a drain passage part of which serves as the bolt hole located at the lowest of the plural bolt holes when the compressor is installed.

Variable displacement compressor with drain passage

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes a housing in which a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and a cylinder bore are formed, a drive shaft, a swash plate, an actuator, and a control mechanism that controls the actuator. A pressure regulation chamber is formed in the housing. The actuator includes a control pressure chamber. The control mechanism includes a control passage that connects together the discharge chamber, the pressure regulation chamber, and the control pressure chamber, and a control valve that, by adjusting the degree of opening of the control passage, changes the pressure in the control pressure chamber to allow the movable body to move. Refrigerant in the discharge chamber flows into the control pressure chamber via the pressure regulation chamber. The pressure regulation chamber functions as a muffler that reduces the pulsation of the refrigerant.

Swash plate type variable displacement compressor

A variable displacement swash-plate compressor includes an actuator that changes the inclination angle of a swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body that moves along a drive shaft axis. The movable body includes an acting portion that pushes the swash plate. The swash plate includes a receiving portion that contacts and is pushed by the acting portion. The acting portion and the receiving portion contact each other at an acting position. A bottom dead center associated part for positioning the piston at a bottom dead center is defined on the swash plate. When the drive shaft and the acting position are viewed from a direction that is perpendicular to a top dead center plane containing the top dead center associated part and the drive shaft axis, the acting position is defined at a position overlapping with the drive shaft regardless of the inclination angle.

Variable displacement swash-plate compressor

In a compressor of the present invention, a first acting portion and a second acting portion are formed at a rear end of a first cylinder portion of a movable body. The first and the second acting portions are formed by stepping across a top dead center surface, and are plane-symmetrical with respect to the top dead center surface. Further, an affected portion is formed on a front surface of a swash plate. The first and the second acting portions and the affected portion are located eccentrically to a top dead center position corresponding portion side from a drive shaft axis.

Variable displacement swash plate type compressor

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor according to the present invention includes a housing having a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and a plurality of cylinder bores, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a link mechanism, a plurality of pistons reciprocally received in the respective cylinder bores, a conversion mechanism, an actuator that changes the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a control mechanism that controls the actuator. The link mechanism disposed between the drive shaft and the swash plate allows a change in inclination angle of the swash plate with respect to a plane extending perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft. The conversion mechanism converts the rotation of the swash plate into reciprocal movement of the pistons in the cylinder bores with a stroke length according to the inclination angle of the swash plate.

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes a housing having a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber in communication with the suction chamber, a first cylinder block having a plurality of first cylinder bores and a second cylinder block having a plurality of second cylinder bores. The first cylinder bores and the second cylinder bores cooperate to form plural pairs of the first and second cylinder bores. The first cylinder block and the second cylinder block have on outer peripheral side thereof a first projection and a second projection projecting radially, respectively. The first projection and the second projection cooperate together to form an oil separation chamber, an oil reserve chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber and a gas release passage that provides fluid communication between the oil reserve chamber and the intermediate pressure chamber.

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a rotary shaft, a swash plate, and an actuator capable of changing the inclination angle of the swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body. The movable body includes a sliding portion that slides on the rotary shaft or the lug member and a movable body-side transmission portion that engages with the swash plate at a position radially outward of the rotational axis of the swash plate. The movable body-side transmission portion is configured such that a perpendicular line or a normal to the movable body-side transmission portion and the rotational axis of the rotary shaft intersect with each other in a zone surrounded by the sliding portion when viewed in a direction that is perpendicular to a direction in which the rotational axis of the rotary shaft extends and perpendicular to the first direction.

A variable displacement swash-plate compressor includes an actuator that is configured to change the inclination angle of a swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body that moves along a drive shaft axis. The movable body includes an acting portion that is configured to push the swash plate with the pressure in a control pressure chamber. The swash plate includes a receiving portion that contacts and is pushed by the acting portion. The acting portion and the receiving portion contact each other at an acting position. A drive-shaft-parallel line segment is defined that contains the acting position and connects a proximal end of the acting portion and a proximal end of the receiving portion to each other, while extending in parallel with the drive shaft axis. The drive-shaft-parallel line segment is shorter when the inclination angle of the swash plate is maximized than when the inclination angle is minimized.

Setting of the pressure sensing mechanism which controls an opening degree of the first valve body is changed by transmitting driving force of the driving force transmission member to the first valve body via the second valve body. According to this configuration, when the second valve body has been opened while conduction of electricity to the electromagnetic solenoid has been stopped, the refrigerant gas from the discharge chamber is supplied to the control pressure chamber via the passage, the valve chamber, the communication opening, the insertion hole, the first passage, the second passage, the housing chamber, the passage, the second pressure adjusting chamber, the communication hole, the first pressure adjusting chamber, the first shaft inner passage, and the second shaft inner passage.

Variable displacement type swash plate compressor

In a compressor that changes a discharge capacity by using an actuator, a variable displacement swash plate type compressor capable of realizing reduction in manufacture cost is provided. In the compressor of the present invention, a ring groove is formed in a movable body, and the ring groove is provided with an annular member. The annular member has a joint gap formed by a first to a third cutouts, and the third cutout is an aperture. In this compressor, the annular member moves in the ring groove based on a pressure difference between a control pressure chamber and a swash plate chamber. Thereby, in the compressor, a pressure in the control pressure chamber is regulated by regulating a flow of a refrigerant that flows to the swash plate chamber from the control pressure chamber.

In a swash plate type variable displacement compressor, a lug plate includes a cylinder chamber and first and second guide surfaces. Inner peripheral edges of the first and second guide surfaces are defined respectively at parts where the peripheral edge of the cylinder chamber and the guide surfaces overlap with each other. When the inclination angle of a swash plate of the compressor is maximum, first and second guided surfaces and the first and second guide surfaces, respectively are brought into line contact with each other at a first position. At this time, first and second slide contact widths are maximum. When the inclination angle of the swash plate is minimum, the first and second guided surfaces and the first and second guide surfaces, respectively are brought into line contact with each other at a second position. At this time, the first and second slide contact widths are minimum.

A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a compressor, a condenser, a pressure-reducing mechanism, an evaporator, an orifice provided in a refrigerant flow path from the compressor to the pressure-reducing mechanism, a differential pressure sensor that detects the differential pressure before and after the orifice, a refrigerant flowrate calculating portion that calculates a refrigerant flowrate based on the differential pressure, and a torque estimating portion that estimates the torque required to drive the compressor based on the refrigerant flowrate calculated by the refrigerant flowrate calculating portion, the intake pressure of the compressor, and the discharge pressure of the compressor.

Refrigeration cycle apparatus

In a structure for mounting a filter in a compressor, a mounting member is connected to the filter. A receiving hole is formed in a housing of the compressor for receiving therein the mounting member. A first fitting portion is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a holding portion of the filter. A second fitting portion is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the mounting member for having fitting relation to the first fitting portion for an overlap distance in a radial direction of the receiving hole. When the mounting member is received in the receiving hole with the fitting relation, the filter is disposed in a fluid passage of the housing. A clearance having a dimension is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the holding portion and an inner circumferential surface of the receiving hole. Minimum value of the dimension is smaller than the overlap distance.
