A display device includes drivers. The drivers apply a voltage having a polarity opposite to a polarity of a voltage applied to red, green, blue, and white picture elements in one first picture element columns to red, green, blue, and white picture elements in another first picture element columns adjacent to the one first picture element columns, and apply a voltage having a polarity opposite to a polarity of a voltage applied to red, green, blue, and white picture elements in one second picture element columns to red, green, blue, and white picture elements in another second picture element columns adjacent to the one second picture element columns.

Display device and method for driving same

A display device includes: a plurality of display panels, which is capable of displaying images independently; a protection plate, which is disposed on a front surface of the plurality of display panels; and a transparent adhesive, which covers a display surface of each of the plurality of display panels to adhere the display panels to the protection plate, wherein the plurality of display panels includes: a pair of substrates, on which plural wirings and plural electrodes are formed, a driver circuit, which inputs signals to the plural wirings to drive the plural electrodes, and a detection circuit, which detects an abnormal value of signals output from the display panels.

Display device

For a photosensor, an array substrate is provided, wherein the edge of a photodiode is enclosed by the opening edge of a contact hole formed on a drain electrode.

Photosensor

A laser processing device including: a laser oscillator; a processing table; a transmission optical system for transmitting laser light emitted from the laser oscillator to the processing table; a processing head for condensing and radiating the laser light transmitted via the transmission optical system to an object to be processed; a moving mechanism for changing a relative position between the object to be processed and the laser light to be radiated to the object to be processed; and a variable curvature spherical mirror. The transmission optical system includes a reflective beam expander mechanism for collimating and magnifying the laser light from the laser oscillator. The reflective beam expander mechanism includes a spherical mirror and a concave mirror having different curvatures in two orthogonal axes.

Laser processing device

For an image display apparatus, cost reduction is enabled to prevent display errors while ensuring operational margin to prevent display errors even when the delay time of gate line driving signals is large. A source driver of a liquid-crystal display apparatus includes a data latch circuit for supplying display data to a decode circuit. A gate line inactivation transition detecting circuit detects inactivation of each of a plurality of gate lines and activates a detect signal for a certain period with that timing. The data latch circuit updates the held display data in response to activation of the detect signal.

Image display apparatus

A first contact hole formed in a gate driving circuit is covered with an electrically conductive oxide film formed to be connected to the first contact hole and having a first pattern. The periphery of the electrically conductive oxide film is surrounded by an electrically conductive oxide film (a sacrifice electrode) formed simultaneously with the electrically conductive oxide film and having a second pattern form.

Scanning line driving circuit for active matrix and image display device

A detection column wiring includes a set of a first metal wiring having a zigzag pattern and a second metal wiring having a structure axisymmetric with the first metal wiring about a column direction. The first metal wiring includes first sloped portions obliquely sloped by an inclination angle of 45&#xb0; with respect to the column direction, and first parallel portions parallel with the column direction and continuous with the first sloped portions; the first sloped portions and the first parallel portions being repeatedly placed in a zigzag shape along the column direction. Each detection row wiring has the same structure. A sloped portion of the first sloped portions of the first metal wiring is always orthogonally and spatially intersected, at its middle point, with a sloped portion of the second sloped portions of the third metal wiring at its middle point. Other portions have the same orthogonal relationship.

Touch screen, touch panel and display device

Provided is a liquid crystal display device including contact hole parts in a gate line driving circuit, and light shielding layers formed of a metal material on a color filter substrate, where an insulating film is formed so as to cover the light shielding layer of the color filter substrate in a region on the array substrate, the area being opposed to the contact hole parts.

Liquid crystal display device

Each detection column wiring is constituted by a set of a first metal wiring having a zigzag pattern and a second metal wiring having a structure axisymmetric with the first metal wiring about a column direction as an axis, wherein the first metal wiring is constituted by first sloped portions which are obliquely sloped by an inclination angle of 45 degrees with respect to the column direction, and first parallel portions which are parallel with the column direction and are continuous with the first sloped portions, such that the first sloped portions and the first parallel portions are repeatedly placed in a zigzag shape along the column direction. Each detection row wiring also has the same structure. A sloped portion out of the first sloped portions of the first metal wiring is always orthogonally and spatially intersected, at its middle point, with a sloped portion out of the second sloped portions of the third metal wiring at its middle point. There is also the same orthogonal relationship among the other portions.

A touch panel capable of calculating touch position coordinates of an indicator with high accuracy in a desired detection time even if a large number of detection wire groups are provided. An oscillator circuit selects one of detection wires and selected by a circuit or the like according to a command from a detection control circuit and oscillates. A circuit counts an output signal from the oscillator circuit up to a first count value. A circuit measures a period of the count. A circuit determines that there is a touch when it detects the detection wire of which the measured period is equal to or higher than a threshold value and sends the detection wire giving a maximum value equal to or higher than the threshold value to a circuit as a touch detection wire. The circuit causes the circuit or the like to select the touch detection wire and the detection wires adjacent thereto on both sides, the circuit counts up until the count value becomes a second count value larger than the first count value, and the circuit measures the count period. The circuit performs interpolation on the basis of the count value obtained by subtracting a background capacitance value from a measured value obtained by the circuit, to thereby determine the touch coordinates.

Touch panel and display device comprising the same

A touch panel device according to the present invention includes: a stylus pen including a conductive stylus pen electrode portion at a tip portion thereof; a plurality of capacitance detecting interconnections formed on a substrate in row and column directions; an oscillator circuit which outputs an oscillation signal for performing charging/discharging to each of the plurality of capacitance detecting interconnections, the oscillation signal having a cycle which changes in accordance with an amount of electric charges in the charging/discharging; and a counter circuit and a computing circuit/control circuit which compute, based on a change of the cycle being in accordance with a capacitance formed between the electrode portion of the stylus pen and the capacitance detecting interconnections, positional coordinates of the stylus pen brought in proximity to the capacitance detecting interconnections in a non-contact manner, wherein the stylus pen outputs to the electrode portion of the stylus pen an input pen signal which is in synchronization with the oscillation signal, has a phase different from a phase of the oscillation signal, and has a larger voltage amplitude compared with the oscillation signal.

Touch panel device

A dual-gate transistor formed of two transistors connected in series between a first power terminal and a first node is used as a charging circuit for charging a gate node (first node) of a transistor intended to pull up an output terminal of a unit shift register. The dual-gate transistor is configured such that the connection node (second node) between the two transistors constituting the dual-gate transistor is pulled down to the L level by the capacitive coupling between the gate and second node in accordance with the change of the gate from the H level to the L level.

Semiconductor device and shift register circuit

A shift register circuit comprises a first transistor between a gate line output terminal and a clock terminal, a second transistor between the gate line output terminal and a first power supply terminal, a third transistor between a carry signal output terminal and the clock terminal and a fourth transistor between the carry signal output terminal and the first power supply terminal. Gates of the second and fourth transistors are connected to each other. A fifth transistor connected between a gate of the first transistor and a second power supply terminal and a sixth transistor connected between a gate of the third transistor and the second power supply terminal have gates both of which are connected to an input terminal. With this constitution, it is possible to suppress an influence between two synchronous output signals outputted from the shift register circuit.

Shift register circuit and image display apparatus containing the same

A level shifter and a charge pump circuit are added, among cascade-connected unit frequency dividing circuits forming a frequency dividing circuit, to the unit frequency dividing circuit in the first stage. The charge pump circuit boosts an input voltage based on a dot clock signal, and supplies the booster voltage to the unit frequency dividing circuit in the first stage. The unit frequency dividing circuit in the first stage, which is driven by the booster voltage, attains an improved current driving capability. The improved current driving capability of the unit frequency dividing circuit in the first stage to which the dot clock signal of high frequency is input leads to a widened operating margin of the frequency dividing circuit.

Frequency dividing circuit, power supply circuit and display device

A shift register includes, in the output stage, a first transistor connected between an output terminal and a first clock terminal and a second transistor connected between the output terminal and a first power terminal. Third and fourth transistors constitute an inverter which inverses the level of the gate of the second transistor and outputs it to the gate of the first transistor. An isolation circuit formed by fifth and sixth transistors is provided between the gate of the first transistor and the gate of the fourth transistor. The fifth transistor is diode-connected. When the gate of the first transistor becomes higher than the gate of the fourth transistor, the first and fourth transistors are electrically isolated from each other.
