A projector includes a light source; a spatial light modulation device which modulates light from the light source according to an image that is written; a light diffusion device which adjusts a degree of diffusion of the light incident on the spatial light modulation device or the light emitted from the spatial light modulation device; and a light diffusion controller which controls the light diffusion device so that the light diffusion device diffuses the light when the light source starts to light up.

Dual function projector

A light source device includes a microwave generating section for generating a microwave, a reflector connected to the microwave generating section, and a microwave electrodeless lamp disposed inside a cavity, the cavity including the reflector and a metallic chamber covering an opening section of the reflector. Light source device and projector

To provide an audio-video output device that can simultaneously output video and audio information from multiple input sources and which can constantly display the video or audio information from one of these sources. Input-side selector,which can select car navigation video information,, TV video information,, or video information,from a video player, and output-side selectors,which supplies the output from said input-side selector,and car navigation video information,as video display signals to liquid crystal panel,which can be split for display, are provided. Consequently, car navigation video information,is always displayed on panel,even when it is split for display. For audio information, monitoring speaker,through which car navigation audio information,can be output is provided, in addition to terminal,through which the audio for the video being displayed on panel,can be output as FM sound. Consequently, car navigation audio information,can be monitored regardless of the type of video information being displayed.
