An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for providing a detection function of detecting that an external approaching object approaches a sensor region of a touch sensor, without increasing an area of the touch sensor and making a circuit complex. According to an aspect, a display device includes a first detection electrode that detects a position of an external approaching object within a detection surface, and plural second detection electrodes that detect that the external approaching object approaches the detection surface. The second detection electrodes extend in a second direction and are arranged in a first direction intersecting the second direction. The second detection electrodes overlap the first detection electrode in a plan view.

Display device and touch detection device

The driving device includes a bendable shape memory alloy member, a resilient member for applying a tension to the shape memory alloy member in a longitudinal direction thereof, a bending member for bending the shape memory alloy member, and a movable body moved by a displacement of the shape memory alloy member. The bending member contacts the shape memory alloy member, so that the tension is applied to the shape memory alloy member in the longitudinal direction thereof. Compared with the driving device in which the shape memory alloy member is linearly disposed, the decrease in the amount of displacement can be suppressed, so that a space efficiency can be enhanced and the downsizing of the driving device can be accomplished.

Drive device

There is described a low-cost imaging device fixed focus type which is to be provided in a portable terminal equipment and enables easy assembly. An opening section is formed in a substrate. An imaging element is secured on the substrate such that a plane including a light-receiving surface for receiving an optical signal closes the opening section. An optical element having an imaging lens section for providing optical information is attached to the light-receiving surface. The optical element is arranged so as to come into contact with the upper surface of the imaging element by way of the opening section of the substrate.

Imaging device having an imaging element mounted on a substrate

An integration of a pickup element and an optical element including an imaging lens can be integrated with a casing to miniaturize the obtained pickup device. In accordance with the present invention a pickup device includes a substrate, a pickup element provided on the substrate, an optical element provided on the pickup element and having at least one imaging lens, a wire electrically connecting the substrate and the pickup element together, and a resin seal sealing the wire while exposing the imaging lens, the pickup element and the optical element integrated together and a casing being integrated by the resin seal and thus miniaturized.

The image pick-up apparatus is one in which a first image forming lens for forming as an image on a light-receiving surface a light entering from a first direction toward the light-receiving surface of an image pick-up device and a second image forming lens for forming as an image on the light-receiving surface a light entering from a second direction different from the first direction are mounted on a lens mount, and in which optical means for changing a direction of travel of at least one of the lights entering from these different directions to a direction perpendicular to the light-receiving surface is held in the lens mount.

Image pick-up apparatus and portable telephone utilizing the same

An image pickup apparatus captures an image from a subject without a focus-adjusting mechanism. An image pickup element has opposed first and second surfaces and an image region formed in the first surface. An optical system causes the image light from the subject to form an image on the image region. A supporting member has a first abutment portion that engages the optical system with nothing sandwiched therebetween, and a second abutment portion that engages the image pickup element with nothing sandwiched therebetween, thereby accurately positioning the optical system relative to the image pickup element. The second abutment portion abuts an area on the first surface except for the image region. A circuit board is fixed to the supporting member and electrically connected to the image pickup element. The circuit board has an opening formed therein such that the image region is exposed through the opening.

A portable telephone provided with an image pickup device includes: a case for the portable telephone; a circuit board for the portable telephone contained in the case and having an opening; an image pickup device having a lens focusing an externally received image and an image pickup element converting the image focused by the lens to an electric signal; and a lead portion electrically connected to the image pickup device and electrically connecting the circuit board and the image pickup device with the image pickup device being inserted to the opening of the circuit board.

An image pickup device and a portable telephone reduced in planar dimension and thickness are provided. The image pickup device includes a circuit board provided with an opening portion and having an interconnection pattern formed of interconnections and an interface region disposed therein, and an image pickup element placed on the circuit board and having a light receiving portion. The interconnection pattern is placed in an outer frame portion on the lateral side of the opening portion, together with land portions as terminals of the respective interconnections, and extends to reach the interface region. At least one of the interconnections is placed between the land portions and the opening portion.
