An object is to provide a cell phone capable of achieving improvement in efficiency of communication and improvement in user's operability on the occasion of providing location information. A cell phonehas a data transmitterfor transmitting user data to a content delivery server, using a user channel, a location request partfor transmitting request information to request calculation of location information about the cell phone, to a GPS serverin accordance with the transmission of the user data, using a control channel, a location acquiring partfor acquiring the location information calculated based on the request information by the GPS server, using the control channel, and a location transmitterfor transmitting the location information to the content delivery server, using the control channel.

Mobile communication terminal and positional information providing method

A positional information service server selects a measuring system most suitable for measuring quality conditions received from a terminal requesting measurement when able to measure position of a designated mobile unit to be measured by a plurality of measuring systems. The positional information service server acquires the positional information of the mobile unit based on the selected measuring system, and transmits it to the terminal designated as the one to be notified.
