A positive electrode active material for a lithium-ion secondary cell having exceptional lithium ion conductivity, the positive electrode active material being such that the absorption of moisture from the atmosphere can be suppressed. This positive electrode active material for a lithium-ion secondary cell has powder particles that include a specific composite oxide, and an organic silicon compound affixed to the surface of the powder particles, the organic functional groups of the organic silicon compound including at least one selected from the group made of C2-10 alkyl groups and C6-14 aryl groups.

The method involves forming a titanium oxide layer that serves as the electron transport layer on a member that serves as the optically transparent electrode layer by utilizing said member for cathode polarization in a treatment liquid containing a Ti component.

A laminate which allows to obtain an organic thin-film solar cell having excellent output characteristics and transparency is provided. The laminate as above has a titanium oxide layer that is disposed on the member serving as a light-transmissive electrode layer and serves as an electron transport layer. The titanium oxide layer has a thickness of not less than 1.0 nm and not more than 200.0 nm. The titanium oxide layer contains indium oxide and metallic indium, InOx/Ti is not less than 0.50 and not more than 20.00 in atomic ratio, and InM/Ti is less than 0.100 in atomic ratio, where an elemental titanium content is represented by Ti, an indium oxide content is represented by InOx, and a metallic indium content is represented by InM.

A titanium oxide layer that serves as an electron transport layer and is positioned on a member that serves as an optically transparent electrode layer has a thickness of 1.0 nm to 60.0 nm, inclusive, and satisfies condition 1 or condition 2. Condition 1: The titanium oxide layer contains an indium metal and an indium oxide, wherein, if the content of elemental titanium is denoted as Ti, the content of the indium metal is denoted as InM, and the content of the indium oxide is denoted as InOx, the atomic ratio (InM/Ti) is 0.10 to 0.25, inclusive, and the atomic ratio (InOx/Ti) is 0.50 to 10.00, inclusive. Condition 2: The titanium oxide layer contains a tin metal and a tin oxide, wherein, if the content of the elemental titanium is denoted as Ti, the content of the tin metal is denoted as SnM, and the content of the tin oxide is denoted as SnOx, the atomic ratio (SnM/Ti) is 0.05 to 0.30, inclusive, and the atomic ratio (SnOx/Ti) is 0.50 to 10.00, inclusive.

The present invention provides a novel method for producing a laminate to be used as a light-transmissive electrode layer and an N-type semiconductor layer of a wet or solid-state dye-sensitized solar cell comprising a light-transmissive electrode layer, an N-type semiconductor layer, a P-type semiconductor layer, and a facing electrode in this order. In said method, a member to be used as the light-transmissive electrode layer is cathode-polarized in a treatment solution containing a Ti component so as to form a titanium oxide layer to be used as the N-type semiconductor layer on said member.

High-yield-ratio high-strength galvanized steel sheet and method for manufacturing the same

A method for manufacturing a high-strength galvanized steel sheet having excellent strength-elongation balance, coating adhesiveness, and surface appearance. The method includes: (i) a first heating process of heating a steel sheet having a predetermined chemical composition, (ii) a first pickling process of pickling the steel sheet which was subjected to the first heating process in an oxidizing acidic aqueous solution, (iii) a second pickling process of pickling the steel sheet which was subjected to the first pickling process in a non-oxidizing acidic aqueous solution, (iv) a second heating process of holding the steel sheet, which was subjected to the second pickling process, at a temperature range of 700&#xb0; C. or higher and 900&#xb0; C. or lower in a hydrogen-containing atmosphere for 20 seconds or more and 300 seconds or less, and (v) performing a galvanizing treatment on the steel sheet which was subjected to the second heating process.

High-strength cold-rolled steel sheet

A high-strength hot-dip coated hot-rolled steel sheet excellent in terms of surface appearance quality and coating adhesiveness and a method for manufacturing. The method includes performing hot rolling followed by pickling on steel to form a pickled steel sheet, the steel having a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.02% or more and 0.30% or less, Si: 0.01% or more and 1.0% or less, Mn: 0.3% or more and 2.5% or less, P: 0.08% or less, S: 0.02% or less, Al: 0.001% or more and 0.20% or less, and Fe and inevitable impurities. The method further includes performing rolling with a rolling reduction ratio of 1% or more and 10% or less, and a hot-dip coating treatment. The obtained steel sheet has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 2.0 &#x3bc;m or less on the surface of the steel sheet, and a tensile strength of 590 MPa or more.

High-strength hot-dip coated hot-rolled steel sheet and method for manufacturing the same

Provided is a high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet has a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.10% or more and 0.6% or less, Si: 1.0% or more and 3.0% or less, Mn: more than 2.5% and 10.0% or less, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.02% or less, Al: 0.01% or more and 1.5% or less, N: 0.005% or less, Cu: 0.05% or more and 0.50% or less, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, and a tensile strength of 1180 MPa or more, in which a steel sheet surface coverage of oxides mainly containing Si is 1% or less, a steel sheet surface coverage of iron-based oxides is 40% or less, Cu/Cuis 4.0 or less, and a tensile strength is 1180 MPa or more, where Cudenotes a Cu concentration in a surface layer of a steel sheet and Cudenotes a Cu concentration in base steel.

There is provided a high-strength galvanized steel sheet and a relatively low-strength galvanized steel sheet that undergoes complex forming, a galvanized steel sheet that exhibits consistently excellent press formability and that generates no hazardous fumes during welding as well as a manufacturing method therefor.
