An inkjet head includes a substrate, a piezoelectric unit disposed on the substrate and including a plurality of piezoelectric elements arranged along a surface of the substrate, and a plurality of pressure chambers, each of the pressure chambers being formed between two adjacent piezoelectric elements, a plurality of lid members, each of which is disposed on two adjacent piezoelectric elements and has a hole connected to one of the pressure chambers, and a nozzle plate disposed on the plurality of lid members and having a plurality of nozzles through which the liquid is discharged, each of the nozzles being connected to one of the holes of the lid members.

According to one embodiment, an inkjet head includes: a nozzle plate including plural nozzles; a piezoelectric element including plural pressure chambers corresponding to the nozzles and sidewalls provided adjacent to the pressure chambers and serving as driving elements configured to press the pressure chambers to eject liquid from the nozzles; a substrate to which the piezoelectric element is bonded; and a frame member placed on the substrate to surround the piezoelectric element. Grooves are formed on the upper end, and in which an adhesive is applied to bond the upper ends of the sidewalls and the nozzle plate.

The frame member inside which the piezoelectric member is disposed is attached to the substrate from above the electrically conductive portions. The protective agent covers an end portion of the insulating film located between the frame member and the electronic component and the electrically conductive portions between the electronic component and the end portion of the insulating film.

According to one embodiment, an ink jet head includes: a nozzle plate including plural nozzles; a piezoelectric element including plural pressure chambers corresponding to the nozzles and sidewalls provided adjacent to the pressure chambers and functioning as driving elements that press the pressure chambers to eject liquid from the nozzles; a substrate to which the piezoelectric element is bonded; a frame member placed on the substrate to surround the piezoelectric element; and electrodes for driving the piezoelectric element. The present invention provides a PWM control device wherein a microprocessor detects the rotational position of rotor of a brushless motor with respect to the amount of each current supplied from an inverter circuit for driving the brushless motor to the brushless motor and outputting of a PWM signal through the use of its detected signal to thereby perform PWM control. Upon startup of the brushless motor under the PWM control, the pulse width of the PWM signal is enlarged during interrupt processing including a process for detecting the rotational position of rotor of the brushless motor, and the pulse width of the PWM signal is progressively enlarged according to the repetition of the interrupt processing. It is thus possible to easily suppress an overshoot current with respect to the current supplied to the motor upon startup of the motor.

A microprocessor of the motor control apparatus acquires a zero-cross detection signal from a zero-cross detection section and a load current from a current detection section at a prescribed sampling period. The processor obtains a load current instant value every sampling period and a corresponding sine-functional value from a sine-functional value table to calculate a compensation value for the load current instant value. The processor also calculates a load current compensation total value by adding the compensation value by the predetermined number of times of sampling and compares the load current compensation total value with a load current reference value to obtain a difference therebetween. In response to the difference, an instruction value for delay time that determines the output timing of a trigger signal to a switching element is changed so that power consumption of the motor falls within a prescribed range.

An electric vacuum cleaner according to the present invention boosts a voltage supplied to a motor-driven blower through the use of a boost converter circuit with a DC power supply as a drive source to thereby increase the output of the motor-driven blower so as to enhance dust suction power. The present invention provides, as operation modes of such an electric vacuum cleaner, an operation mode for boosting power inputted to the motor-driven blower with the boost converter circuit to thereby increase dust suction power, and an operation mode for deactivating the boost converter circuit. Consequently, the boost converter circuit is used to enable the boosting of the power inputted to the motor-driven blower only when really required, and a loss in power produced due to the mounting of the boost converter circuit can be reduced. Thus, the service hour per charge for a battery can be set to a level equivalent to an electric vacuum cleaner equipped with no boost converter circuit.

The present invention aims to first start the rotation of a rotor according to a first sequence for causing currents to flow in armature windings of three phases U, V and W upon startup of a three-phase brushless motor to thereby reduce an inrush current at the startup thereof, thus making it possible to lighten an electrical load on each electronic part used for control. Also the present invention aims to perform switching to an original second sequence for causing currents to flow in the armature windings of the two phases U and V, V and W or W and U of the three-phase brushless motor after the startup of the three-phase brushless motor to thereby provide a period for an open state of each terminal and make dead band control or the like unnecessary, thus making control of the three-phase brushless motor easier.

The inverter circuit AC-drives a motor-driven blower according to periodic switching between the switching elements. The periodic switching is based on the detected value of physical quantities related to the electric vacuum cleaner. The electric vacuum cleaner can, in the highest operation mode, undergo a sudden fluid load variation. The electric vacuum cleaner is able to limit, by way of the inverter circuit, the unpleasant sound produced by the vacuum cleaner due to the change in rotation velocity of a rotor of a motor of the vacuum cleaner.

Thermal transfer recording apparatus and method for thermal transfer recording

A thermal transfer type color printer of this invention has four ink ribbons sequentially arranged from a first order to a fourth order along a conveying direction of a printing medium, and four printing heads respectively arranged in accordance with the four ink ribbons. Each of the printing heads melts and transfers ink included in each of the ink ribbons to the printing medium by heating the ink ribbons while each of the ink ribbons comes in contact with the printing medium. While the printing medium is conveyed, the ink of each of the ink ribbons is transferred to the printing medium so that a color image is formed. In this color printer, a melting viscosity of the ink of an ink ribbon used at a later stage is set to be lower than that used at a previous stage.
