An optical element with an antireflection function is provided with a substrate having a surface and a plurality of structures formed from convex portions or concave portions and arranged in large numbers on the surface of the substrate with a minute pitch less than or equal to the wavelength of the visible light, wherein the modulus of elasticity of the material forming the structures is 1 MPa or more, and 1,200 MPa or less, and the aspect ratio of the structure is 0.6 or more, and 1.5 or less.

Optical element and method for manufacturing optical element

An optical element has a base material having a surface and a plurality of structures which are arranged on the surface of the base material at a fine pitch equal to or shorter than the wavelength of visible light and which each includes a convex or concave portion. The elastic modulus of the material forming the structures is 1 MPa or more and 1200 MPa or less, and the surface on which the structures are formed are hydrophilic.

The light diffusing layer has the diffusion property that in one (A axis) of two perpendicular axial directions on a light diffusion plane, a luminance distribution curve versus incidence angle is asymmetric with respect to the zero-incidence-angle axis, and the side on which the incidence angle (half-luminance incidence angle) with half of a peak luminance on the A axis in the normal direction to the screen plane is small faces in a direction in which external light has the highest strength.

A light diffusing film, a screen that utilizes same, and a method of producing same are provided. The light diffusing film provides a high luminance uniform over an overall area with a simple configuration and provides a good visibility. Also a method of producing the light diffusing film as well as a screen in which the light diffusing film is used are disclosed. The light diffusing film includes a base film, and a light diffusing layer formed on a principal surface of the base film and having a group of micro lenses each having a convex or concave shape which has different curvatures from each other along cross sections in a transverse direction and a vertical direction of the principal surface of the base film. The micro lenses individually have optical axes which are inclined toward the position of an assumed viewer forwardly of the light diffusing film.

In an inner surface of a lower flange of the magnetic tape reel, 6 concave portions each shaped in nearly as isosceles triangle are made formed at even angle intervals of 60 degrees with their circumferential cross-section area being larger as approaching to a hub. When a magnetic tape is wound on the hub, air which exists between a tape-winding surface of the hub or the tape already wound and the tape to be wound further is guided to the concave portions, and an amount of wound-in air becomes less in the inner side and large in the outer periphery. Consequently, a pressure of winding the tape tight at the outer periphery does not reach the inner side, so that winding irregularities or deformation of the tape do not occur.
