To reduce the effect of a steering operation on feeling. A rack bush comprises: a bush body that is accommodated in a cylindrical housing, supports a load exerted on a rack bar while allowing the rack bar to move in the direction of an axial center O, and can be extended and retracted in a radial direction; and an elastic ring mounted on the bush body. The bush body has a mounting groove for mounting the elastic ring, the mounting groove being formed peripherally in an outer peripheral surface, and the mounting groove having a large-diameter part where the circumferential radius of a groove bottom is a first radius r, and a small-diameter part where said radius is a second radius rthat is less than the first radius r. This configuration allows the formation of an elastic ring protruding part, in which the elastic ring protrudes greatly from the outer peripheral surface of the bush body, and an elastic ring embedded part, in which the elastic ring is embedded in the outer peripheral surface of the bush body.

Bearing and steering mechanism

Provided is a rack bush capable of reducing an effect on the feeling of a steering operation. A rack bush () comprises: a rack bushhoused in a cylindrical housing (), which supports a load applied to a rack bar () while allowing movement of the rack bar () in the direction of the axis (O) and can be freely expanded and contracted in the radial direction; and elastic rings () mounted on the bush body (). The bush body () has mounting grooves (), which are formed in the circumferential direction on an outer peripheral surface () for mounting the elastic ring (). An axis (P) of the mounting groove () are shifted from the axis (O) of the bush body (). By this arrangement, there are formed an elastic ring protruding part (), where the elastic rings () protrude greatly from the outer peripheral surface () of the bush body (), and an elastic ring embedded part (), where the elastic rings () are embedded in the outer peripheral surface () of the bush body ().

Rack bush and steering mechanism

Provided are heat insulating sheets that may include a resin film having a metal layer and a nonwoven fabric including resin fiber, wherein the resin film and the nonwoven fabric are joined by through holes penetrating the resin film and the nonwoven fabric, and wherein a ratio (La/Lb) of an average distance (La) between the through holes in the resin film to an average distance (Lb) between the through holes in the nonwoven fabric is 1.001 or more and 1.10 or less. Further provided are manufacturing methods of a heat insulating sheet that may include a resin film having a metal layer and a nonwoven fabric including a resin fiber.

The objective of the present invention is to reduce the impact of production variability in a radius of curvature of a rear surface of a rack bar, for example, while enlarging a region of contact with the rack bar. A concave surface () is used as a rack guide seat () sliding surface (). In a YZ cross section perpendicular to an axial direction of a rack bar, the concave surface () includes: a pair of first arcuate surfaces (A,B) which are disposed on a peripheral edge side () of the sliding surface (), from two positions of contact TA, TB with a rack bar rear surface (), the positions of contact TA, TB having line symmetry with respect to a straight Line Ojoining a center O of a rack bar () with a bottom portion center C of the sliding surface (), and which have line symmetry with respect to the straight Line O; and a pair of second arcuate surfaces (A,B) which are disposed on a bottom portion side () of the sliding surface (), from the positions of contact TA, TB, and which have line symmetry with respect to the straight Line O. With regard to gaps to the rack bar rear surface () in positions separated by the same distance from the positions of contact TA, TB, the gaps from the first arcuate surfaces (A,B) are greater than the gaps from the second arcuate surfaces (A,).

Rack guide and gear mechanism

A sliding bearingincludes a cylindrical bearing body; slits provided in the bearing body; straight grooves provided on an inner side of the bearing body in such a manner as to extend in an axial direction A and respectively disposed between adjacent ones of the slits which are adjacent in a direction B about an axis; a sliding surface which is provided on the inner side of the bearing body and partially severed in the direction B about the axis by the slits to and the straight grooves; a fitting groove provided in an outer surface of the bearing body; and an elastic ring which is fitted in the fitting groove. Each of the straight grooves are closed on an end face side and is open on an end face side.

In a continuous paper duplex printer, during duplex printing, a printer controller provides image data for odd-numbered and even numbered pages to front surface and back surface image processing apparatuses respectively, and a printing engine prints an image of an odd-numbered page on the front of continuous paper and parallelly forms an image of an even-numbered page different from an even-numbered page subsequent to the odd-numbered page on the back of the front of the continuous paper based on the image data processed by the processing apparatuses. In the continuous paper duplex printer, during single sided printing, the printer controller provides image data for odd-numbered and even numbered pages to the processing apparatuses, but when the image data is provided to one of the processing apparatuses, blank page image data or a blank page instruction is provided to another one of the processing apparatuses.
