A transmission is provided with an engagement member rotationally moved between an engagement position where the engagement member is engaged with a parking gear to restrict the rotation of a drive shaft, and an engagement release position where the engagement member is disengaged from the parking gear to permit the rotation of the drive shaft; a support member provided in a case to be distanced from a rotational axis of the engagement member; and a pair of urging members urging the engagement member in a direction in which the engagement member rotationally moves from the engagement position toward the engagement release position, and supported on the support member respectively at symmetrical positions that are on both sides of the engagement member in a rotational axis direction of the engagement member.

Transmission

In a transmission, a lubrication oil retention section is formed to surround an area around a circumferential part of a first gear that ranges from a lubrication oil storage region to the outside of the lubrication oil storage region. In the lubrication oil retention section, the lubrication oil scooped up by the rotation of the first gear is retained between the lubrication oil retention section and the first gear at the outside of the lubrication oil storage region. The lubrication oil retention section enables the first gear to splash the lubrication oil retained at the outside of the lubrication oil storage region, toward a receiver that flows the lubrication oil to various sliding parts of the transmission.

A driving force transmitting device for transmitting driving force from a driving member to a driven member incorporates a wired cable operatively connected with each of the driving member and the driven member, wherein the wired cable rotated by the driving member drives the driven member, an outer tube through which the wired cable is fitted, and supporting tubes fitted in the outer tube and in frictional engagement with the wired cable. The supporting tubes support the wired cable when the wired cable is rotated. An inner tube receives the wired cable therein with a clearance defined between the inner tube and the wired cable. The inner tube is positioned within the outer tube and between the supporting tubes.
