A drive unit for an electric vehicle is comprised of a motor, an inverter which supplies alternating current electric power to the motor, a speed reducer which is connected to the motor, and a cooling system which cools the motor, the inverter and the speed reducer. The speed reducer reduces a revolution speed of a mechanical output of the motor. The cooling system comprises a heat exchanger at which first refrigerant for receiving heat of at least one of the motor and the inverter receives heat of second refrigerant for receiving heat of at least one of the motor and the speed reducer.

Drive unit for electric vehicle

A fuel injector configured and arranged to inject fuel into a combustion chamber comprises a casing member, a fuel discharge valve and a micro nozzle. The casing member includes a hydraulic chamber configured to contain pressurized fuel and a flow rate regulating hole arranged to discharge the fuel from inside the hydraulic chamber. The fuel discharge valve is configured and arranged to open and close the flow rate regulating hole. The micro nozzle is disposed in a downstream part with respect to the fuel discharge valve, and has at least one through hole arranged to inject the fuel discharged from the flow rate regulating hole into the combustion chamber. The micro nozzle further includes a heating structure configured and arranged to selectively emit heat to raise temperature of the fuel that passes through the at least one through hole of the micro nozzle upon activation of the heating structure.

Fuel injector

An integrated drive motor unit which is integrally constituted of a motor, an inverter and a reducer differential unit arranged in a row, and a frame member. The reducer differential unit is connected to an output shaft of the motor, and distributes torque of the motor to a pair of axles, one of which passes through the inverter. The frame member constitutes a part of the motor and a part of the reducer differential unit, and has a portion surrounding the axle passing through the inverter. The inverter is disposed outside the frame member.

Integrated drive motor/differential/inverter unit with improved housing for a vehicle

An a.c. motor-inverter integrated drive unit comprises an a.c. motor powered by an alternating current. The motor includes a rotor rotatable about a rotation axis, a plurality of stator cores arranged about the rotation axis at evenly spaced intervals to constitute a cylindrical stator structure, a plurality of stator coils disposed on the stator cores respectively and a plurality of cooling passages formed in the stator cores respectively. An inverter is combined with the motor. The inverter converts a direct current to an alternating current and includes a plurality of power drivers which are arranged on the stator cores respectively. Wire members are used for connecting the power drivers and the stator coils respectively.

A.C. motor-inverter integrated drive unit

There are included a switching circuit for flowing pulse electrical current through a primary winding of a transformer, a half wave rectification circuit or a full wave rectification circuit for extracting electrical current from a secondary winding of the transformer while this pulse electrical current flows, and an electrical current regulation circuit which controls the magnitude of the electrical current which is extracted from the secondary winding of the transformer according to the collector voltage of the power transistor. Since the most suitable pulse electrical current is made directly from the direct current power supply and is supplied to the base of the power transistor, there is no requirement to provide any DC-DC converter, and it is possible to reduce the size and the cost of the power supply circuit for driving the power transistor.

Power supply circuit for driving power transistor

A semiconductor acceleration sensor with a reduced cross axial sensitivity, which is easily manufacturable. In this semiconductor acceleration sensor, two sensor units are provided on two cantilever beams which have the identical shape and are arranged on the same plane in mutually opposite orientations, and a bridge circuit is formed by the piezoresistors of these two sensor units, such that the cross axial sensitivity of the semiconductor acceleration sensor can be reduced significantly. The bridge circuit to be formed can be a half bridge circuit, or a full bridge circuit in which case the piezoresistors of the second sensor unit are arranged to be oriented along a direction perpendicular to that along which the piezoresistors of the first sensor unit are arranged to be oriented. This semiconductor acceleration sensor can be manufactured monolithically on a single semiconductor substrate, or from separately manufactured acceleration sensors.

Semiconductor acceleration sensor with reduced cross axial sensitivity

An electrochemical etching method for producing semiconductor diaphragms from a semiconductor wafer comprised of a first semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type and a second semiconductor layer formed on the first semiconductor layer, the second semiconductor layer having a second conductivity type different than the first semiconductor layer. The semiconductor wafer is placed in an etching solution with respect to a counter-electrode immersed in the etching solution. The semiconductor wafer has a plurality of chips each of which includes at least one third semiconductor layer of the first conductivity type. The third semiconductor layer extends through the second semiconductor layer to the first semiconductor layer. A first positive potential is applied to the first and third semiconductor layers with respect to the counter-electrode. A second positive potential is applied to the second semiconductor layer with respect to the first semiconductor layer.

Electrochemical etching method

A semiconductor accelerometer including a weight, a support frame surrounding the weight with a gap therebetween, at least one beam for connecting the weight to the support frame, a piezoresistor attached onto the beam for detecting acceleration, and stoppers for restricting the movement of the weight relative to the support frame, in which at least one first projection integrally mounted to the weight and at least one second projection integrally mounted to the support frame cooperate to function as the stoppers. At least one first cross member and at least one second cross member may cooperate with the first and second projections. First and second stopping members may also cooperate with the first and second projections.
