The present invention provides an oil-in-oil type cosmetic composition that has excellent transfer resistance after application, a luster, favorable spreadability during application, and also excellent stability. The oil-in-oil type cosmetic composition comprises (a) 5 to 80% by mass of non-volatile hydrocarbon oil, (b) 1 to 70% by mass of non-volatile silicone oil, and (c) 0.1 to 10% by mass of dextrin fatty acid ester. Preferably, the non-volatile hydrocarbon oil (a) and the non-volatile silicone oil (b) are formulated at a ratio (mass ratio) of (a)/[(a)+(b)]=0.4 to 0.8.

Oil-in-oil type cosmetic composition

Provided is a makeup cosmetic which has a good feeling of use, without showing tautness or stiffness as in the case of using a silicone-based resin film or an offensive odor as in the case of using polyisoprene, and exhibits a good effect of preventing color migration. This makeup cosmetic is characterized by comprising polyisobutylene having a relative mass of 30,000-100,000 and a volatile hydrocarbon oil. Also provided are a top coating agent, which can be appropriately applied on the aforesaid makeup cosmetic, imparts glossiness and shows little color migration or blurring, a makeup kit comprising the aforesaid makeup cosmetic and the top coating agent, and a makeup method using the makeup kit.

A one-phase microemulsion composition, which can be easily prepared without the use of special equipment, has high safety, and stays stable for a long period in an ultrafine emulsion state when the composition is added to an aqueous formulation, is provided by appropriately adjusting the ratio of (A) a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant, (B) a lipophilic nonionic surfactant, (C) an oil component, (D) a water-miscible solvent that does not interdissolve with the oil component, and the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of the hydrophilic nonionic surfactant in the water-miscible solvent is higher than that of the hydrophilic nonionic surfactant in water, and (E) water.

A skin treatment composition that characteristically contains alkylene polyglycol dineopentanoate having a specific structure. The object is to provide a skin treatment composition that gives a refreshing sensation at the time of application and contains an oil component that is highly safe with low skin irritation. The skin treatment composition specifically contains diethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, triethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, tetraethyleneglycol dineopentanoate, dipropyleneglycol dineopentanoate, tripropyleneglycol dineopentanoate, etc. Dipropyleneglycol dineopentanoate and tripropyleneglycol dineopentanoate are particularly preferable in terms of the sensation at the time of application; they provide a skin treatment composition that is particularly superior in absorption into the skin and a sensation of permeation and highly safe.

External preparation for the skin

The present invention provides a composition for skin or hair which achieves an excellent UV absorption in a wide range of UV wavelength from the UV-A to the UV-B without inhibiting the effect of the alkyl &#x3b2;,&#x3b2;-diphenylacrylate and the &#x3b1;-cyano-&#x3b2;,&#x3b2;-diphenylacrylate (e.g. octocrylene) which serve to improve the photostability of dibenzoylmethane derivative. The composition for skin or hair comprises: (a) a dibenzoylmethane derivative, (b) an alkyl &#x3b2;,&#x3b2;-diphenylacrylate and/or an &#x3b1;-cyano-&#x3b2;,&#x3b2;-diphenylacrylate (e.g. octocrylene), and (c) a specific benzalmalonate derivative (e.g. di(2-ethylhexyl)-4-methoxybenzalmalonate).

A skin treatment composition of the present invention is an external composition for skin comprising an alkylene oxide derivative expressed by Formula (I):RO-[(AO)(EO)]&#x2014;R&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein AO is an oxyalkylene group of Cor C; EO is an oxyethylene group; m and n are 1&#x2266;m&#x2266;70 and 1&#x2266;n&#x2266;70 respectively, wherein EO is 20&#x2dc;80% by weight with respect to a total of AO and EO; each of Rand Ris a hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having C. The alkylene oxide derivative (I) has a moisturizing effect, a rough skin improving effect, a stickiness improving effect, and a transdermal absorption promoting effect. When a refreshing agent is used together therewith in the composition of the present invention, the refreshing effect lasts for a long time and it is excellent in feeling of use without skin stimulation.

Skin treatment composition

The present invention provides a cosmetic having equal to or a higher antioxidant activity and moisture retaining property than the above-described conventional vitamin E derivatives. The cosmetic also has an excellent emulsifying ability and solubilizing ability and remarkably reduces a sticky feeling on the skin (in particular, the sticky feeling during drying after the application on the skin). That is, the cosmetic of the present invention containing a vitamin E derivative represented by the following formula (I) or a salt thereof. [In the formula, R, R, and Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; Rrepresents a Calkanoyl group, a Calkyl group, a SOH group, a P(O)(OH)group, a CHCOOH group or a COCHCH(SOH)COOH group; EO represents an ethylene oxide group; BO represents a butylene oxide group; k and n independently represent any one of numbers 0 to 30; and m represents any one of numbers 1 to 30.]

The present invention is a skin treatment composition that characteristically contains an alkyl benzoate represented by the following general formula (1). This provides a skin treatment composition that gives a refreshing sensation at the time of application and can contain drugs and ultraviolet absorbents in a stable manner. Also, the present invention is a sunblock water-in-oil type emulsified cosmetic characteristically comprising an ester bond product of polyhydroxystearic acid represented by the following general formulas (2) or (3), alkyl benzoate represented by the following general formula (1), and an ultraviolet absorbent. This provides a sunblock cosmetic consisting of a water-in-oil type emulsified composition that can contain an ultraviolet absorbent in a stable manner and exhibits a superior usability. (In this formula, R denotes a branched or straight chain alkyl group having 8-15 carbon atoms.) (In this formula, Rand Rdenote, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, a+b denotes an integer 1-30, and m denotes an integer 10-200.) (In this formula, Rand Rdenote, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, a+b denotes an integer 1-30, and n denotes an integer 1-30.)

The cosmetic of the present invention is a cosmetic that alleviates skin irritation by blending in polypropylene glycol, a specific polar oil, or polybutylene glycol, as well as an ultraviolet absorbent. The present invention also relates to an agent and a method for alleviating irritation by lipophilic drugs. Since the present invention alleviates skin irritation due to ultraviolet absorbents and lipophilic drugs in cosmetics, any amount of ultraviolet absorbents and lipophilic drugs can be blended in cosmetics, and therefore cosmetics that can fully manifest their effects can be provided. Also, it is possible to prepare a safe sunblock cosmetic with superior ultraviolet protection effects because the ultraviolet absorbent is not absorbed through skin.

An oil-in-water type emulsion composition comprising: an amphiphile and a surfactant selected from the substances which can form a gel in an amphiphatic substance-surfactant-water system at a temperature of not lower than ordinary temperatures; oil and water, wherein substantially the total amount of amphiphile and surfactant exist on the boundary surfaces of emulsion particles. The emulsion composition has both the physical properties close to those of an aqueous solution and a creamy feel at the time of use.
