A fault detection circuit according to the present disclosure includes a rectangular pulse comparison circuit configured to generate, for each combination of the pulse width modulated signals, detection signals each indicating a difference component between pulse widths of two pulse width modulated signals having phases adjacent to each other, and a fault diagnosis unit configured to detect a fault in an inverter based on a shift in a combination of logic levels of a plurality of the detection signals output by the rectangular pulse comparison circuit from a preset determination value. The fault diagnosis unit uses the determination value that is different for each motor rotation angle assuming in advance that two alternating-current signals having phases adjacent to each other among the three-phase alternating-current signals have the same voltage.

Fault detection circuit

A fault detection circuit according to the present disclosure includes a plurality of phase difference detection circuits configured to generate phase difference measurement signals having a pulse width corresponding to a magnitude of a phase difference between two of drive signals of different phases among a plurality of drive signals, a plurality of smoothing circuits configured to smooth the phase difference measurement signals, which have been associated with the smoothing circuits, respectively, in advance, and output phase difference detection voltages each having a voltage value corresponding to the magnitude of the phase difference; and an error detection circuit configured to compare the plurality of phase difference detection voltages and switch abnormality detection signals from a disabled state to an enabled state when there is the phase difference detection voltage having a voltage value exceeding a preset tolerance range.

A motor control apparatus includes an inverter comprising switching elements, current detection means for detecting a phase current value output from the inverter to each phase of a three-phase AC motor, conversion means for converting the phase current value into a digital AD conversion value, and modulation means for comparing a phase voltage command value based on the AD conversion value from the conversion means with a PWM counter value generated using a timer operating at predetermined cycles to generate a PWM signal and outputting the generated PWM signal to the inverter to thereby switch the switching elements of the inverter and control the three-phase AC motor. The conversion means outputs the AD conversion value acquired by converting the phase current value at a timing when a rectangular width of a rectangular wave of a phase voltage value corresponding to the PWM counter value is long.

A motor control apparatus includes a current estimation unit configured to output a detected current value corresponding to each of the three-phase AC currents based on the measured current value and rotor rotation angle information of the motor. The current estimation unit defines a phase whose duty ratio of a driving pulse supplied to an inverter circuit, which generates the three-phase AC currents, becomes more than or equal to an operation switching threshold as an estimation target phase, calculates, for the estimation target phase, an estimated current value based on a coefficient value, which is calculated from the measured current value by the current measurement unit in a period in which the duty ratio of the driving pulse is lower than the operation switching threshold, and the rotor rotation angle information, and outputs the calculated estimated current value as the detected current value of the estimation target phase.

A motor driving device includes: an inverter control unit configured to generate and output a control signal for feedback-controlling a motor using a control command value for setting driving of the motor and a feedback value including a current value of driving power supplied to the motor; an inverter configured to supply driving power to the motor in accordance with the control signal output from the inverter control unit; and an abnormality detecting unit configured to detect an abnormality of the inverter. The abnormality detecting unit determines that the inverter is abnormal when a sum of three-phase AC voltage values of the driving power supplied to the motor is greater than a predetermined voltage value and a difference between the control command value supplied to the inverter control unit and the feedback value is less than a predetermined value.
