A vehicle seat includes a link mechanism for liftably connecting a seat cushion to a support base directly or indirectly mounted to a vehicle body. The seat cushion is composed of a seating frame with side frames arranged at both right and left ends. The link mechanism includes link members connecting the support base and side frames, and a link connecting member connecting the link members together. Flange portions are formed at both end portions of the extending direction of the link connecting member. End surfaces of the extending direction of the flange portions and facing surfaces of the link members facing the end surfaces are abutted, and the end surfaces and the facing surfaces are joined by welding.

Vehicle seat and method for manufacturing same

Provided is a seat frame for a vehicle seat capable of supporting the back of a seated person during a rear-end collision by using a simple structure and few component portions. The seat frame includes a top frame portion on the top of the seat, lateral frame portions on the right and left of the seat, and a connection frame connecting the tops of the lateral frame portions to bridge them. The connection frame includes a bent protrusion portion bent in the longitudinal direction and arranged in a standing condition from a surface formed by the connection frame, at a position between a pair of the lateral frame portions. The bent protrusion portion is provided over the entire length of the up and down direction of the connection frame.

A seat frame for a vehicle seat has side frames disposed on both ends of a seat back frame in the width direction, and a bottom member frame for connecting the bottom ends of the side frames which attach to a seat cushion, wherein: each side frame has a side wall which is positioned on the outside in the width direction and which extends in the vertical direction, and a back wall which extends from the side wall towards the inner side in the width direction; and the lower member frame has a first extension portion extending along the width direction, and second extension portions extending from both ends of the first extension portion in the width direction towards the front. The second extension portions are positioned further inward than the side walls in the width direction and overlap with the side walls.
