In a light deflection device, the radiation efficiency of radiated light beams is to be improved. The light deflection device is configured by a photonic crystal waveguide having a lattice array with low refractive index parts periodically arrayed in a surface of a high refractive-index member. The lattice array has a dual-periodic structure consisting of a first periodic array and a second periodic array which differ from each other in periodic arrangement of the low refractive index parts. A line defect where no low refractive index parts are arrayed constitutes a waveguide core for propagating incident light. The cross section of at least either the first periodic array or the second periodic array constituting the periodic arrays of the dual-periodic structure is asymmetrical in the thickness direction of the low refractive index parts.

Light deflection device

The present invention aims at establishing a novel means for purifying norovirus VLPs. There is provided a purification method of norovirus virus-like particles, comprising: contacting solution containing norovirus virus-like particles with support for hydroxyapatite chromatography, binding the virus-like particles to the support, subsequently washing the support with buffer, and then eluting the virus-like particles from the support with buffer containing phosphate, wherein the phosphate concentration of the buffer used for elution is less than 10 mM.

Purification method of virus-like particles

A die cushion device includes a cushion pad, a support section, a servomotor, and a shock absorber device. The support section supports the cushion pad. The servomotor raises and lowers the support section for raising and lowering the cushion pad. The shock absorber device includes a damping section and relieves shock between the cushion pad and the support section. In the die cushion device, a shock absorber device relieves shock between a cushion pad and a support section. The shock absorber device includes a damping section and an elastic section. The damping section generates reaction force in accordance with the relative speed of the cushion pad with respect to the support section. The elastic section generates reaction force in accordance with the relative displacement of the cushion pad with respect to the support section. The controller section controls a servomotor so that a speed difference between the speed of the slide member and the speed of the support section is set to be a predetermined target speed difference value that changes over time.

An oscillation circuit has a first inverter connected to an external piezoelectric resonator, a first feedback resistor disposed between input/output terminals of the first inverter, first/second variable capacitive elements connected to input/output of the first inverter, a charging circuit supplying input/output terminal with a reference current to charge the capacitive element, a comparator comparing a charging voltage of input/output with a reference voltage, and a control circuit that, in a calibration operation, at a first time, causes the charging circuit to start supply the reference current to the input terminal or the output terminal, and, at a second time after the first time, generates the control signal for setting a capacitance value of the first or second variable capacitive element so that the charging voltage becomes close to the reference voltage according to a comparison result of the comparator.
