A left console device () disposed on an entrance (A)-side of a cab () is provided with a gate lock device (). The gate lock device () includes a gate lock lever () which has an operating part (C) to be operated by an operator and is rotationally displaced between a lock position and an unlock position, and a spring member () which urges the gate lock lever () toward the lock position or the unlock position. The spring member () is configured to urge the gate lock lever () toward the unlock position when the operating part (C) of the gate lock lever () is in a height position lower than an upper surface (C) of the left console device () (an upper cover ()) and urges the gate lock lever () toward the lock position when the operating part (C) of the gate lock lever () is in a height position higher than the upper surface (C) of the left console device ().

Disclosed is an installation structure for a dustproof net to be arranged in a machine, which has an engine, a cooling fan for producing cooling air to cool the engine, plural heat exchangers arranged on an upstream side of the cooling fan, and a compartment with the engine, cooling fan and plural heat exchangers accommodated therein, such that the dustproof net is arranged at a position on a side upstream of the heat exchanger located most upstream among the plural heat exchanger relative to a flow of air drawn in by the cooling fan and in isolation from the most upstream heat exchanger to remove dust contained in the air drawn in by the cooling fan. The dustproof net is provided with a support structure for supporting the dustproof net on members that form the compartment.

A swing mechanism for a construction machine is provided with a center framehaving a pinion insertion hole, an inner race having an internal gear and mounted on a side of an undercarriage, an outer racerotatably arranged surrounding the inner race and provided with the center frame secured thereon by bolts, a pinion maintained in meshing engagement with the internal gear of the inner race, and a pinion drive device. A pin fit-in holearranged in the center framesuch that a knock pinfixed on the outer raceis fitted in the pin fit-in hole to position the center frame. To arrange the pin fit-in holein the center frame, a pin fit-in hole portionthrough which the pin fit-in holeis formed is locally arranged such that the pin fit-in hole portionextends toward the pinion insertion holeto have a center of the pin fit-in holelocated on a center connection line S. This construction allows to perform smooth assembly of the pinion drive device while enabling to optimally arrange the knock pin for positioning the center frame.

A swivel frame structure for a hydraulic excavator, said swing frame structure being to be arranged in a swing upperstructure, has a center framecomposed of side platesand a reinforcement platejoined to each other. The swing frame structure is provided with mating portions for bringing the side platesand the reinforcement plateinto engagement with each other. These mating portions comprise plug-in structure portions, which in turn comprise holesformed through the respective side platesand lugsarranged on opposite side edge portions of the reinforcement plateand to be inserted into the holesof the corresponding side plates. The center frame can be fabricated without needing any jigs for fixedly holding the side plates and a bottom plate together.
