A vehicle headlight system that can be used together with a vehicle control unit () that switches from an autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode on the basis of external information about a vehicle (), wherein the system has a headlight () mounted on the vehicle (), and a lamp control unit () that controls the headlight (), the lamp control unit (): controlling the headlight () so as to form a first light distribution pattern (P) when the vehicle control unit () is executing the autonomous driving mode; controlling the headlight () so as to form a second light distribution pattern (Q) when the vehicle control unit () is executing the manual driving mode; and controlling the headlight so as to form a third light distribution pattern (R) that irradiates at an illuminance equal to or greater than the illuminance of the first light distribution pattern (P) and/or irradiates a range equal to or greater than the irradiation region of the first light distribution pattern (P), when transitioning from the autonomous driving mode to the manual driving mode.

Vehicle headlamp system and vehicle lamp system

A vehicle lamp forms an additional high-beam light distribution pattern with light emitted though a projection lens from a plurality of light emitting elements. The plurality of light emitting elements are disposed to be aligned in a transverse direction below a rear focal point of the projection lens and can be lit individually. The vehicle lamp forms an additional light distribution pattern by lighting the plurality of light emitting elements at the same time to form a high-beam light distribution pattern. In addition, the vehicle lamp forms another additional light distribution pattern where a part of the additional light distribution pattern is omitted by selectively lighting a part of the plurality of light emitting elements so as to form an intermediate light distribution pattern.

Vehicle lamp

A vehicle lamp configured to selectively perform a low-beam irradiation and a high-beam irradiation includes a projector lens, a light emitting element disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming a low-beam light distribution pattern, a light emitting element disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming an additional high-beam light distribution pattern, a upward reflecting surface (shade) disposed behind the projector lens and configured to form a cutoff line of the low-beam light distribution pattern, and an optical path change portion configured to change an optical path of a part of light emitted from the light emitting element so as to travel toward a portion between the low-beam light distribution pattern and the additional high-beam light distribution pattern.

Vehicle lamp and substrate

An ADB lamp unit of a vehicle headlamp includes a light source constituted by a plurality of semiconductor light-emitting elements that can be turned on/off individually, and a reflector having a reflective surface that is based on a paraboloid of revolution. The reflector is constituted by a perpendicularly split plurality of partial reflectors, with the reflective surface of each partial reflector being configured such that the horizontal spread of reflected light reflected by each partial reflectors is approximately equal in a predetermined projection plane.

Vehicular lamp

A vehicular lamp comprising includes a light-emitting diode that is used as a light source and that emits light; and a light transmitting member that is arranged in a path of the emitted light and through which the light is passed. The light transmitting member shields the light-emitting diode from infrared rays that travel in an opposite direction to a traveling direction of the light.

A projector lens of a vehicular headlamp has a shape of a convex lens in which the upper and lower portions are cut by a predetermined amount. A light source is disposed above optical axis Ax of the projector lens while a light emission surface is inclined downwardly. A first reflecting mirror has an elliptical reflective surface, and is adjusted in size such that almost all the light reflected from the reflective surface is incident on the projector lens. A shield plate is disposed in the vicinity of the focus of the first reflecting mirror to form a horizontal cutoff line. A second reflecting mirror is disposed to reflect light that is not incident on the first reflecting mirror. The third reflecting mirror is disposed above the upper end of the shield plate at a position that does not interfere with the light reflected from the first reflecting mirror.

Vehicular headlamp

A vehicle lamp includes a semiconductor light emitting device arranged to face toward a front of the vehicle lamp, a first optical member disposed in front of the semiconductor light emitting device, and a second optical member disposed in front of the first optical member. The first optical member comprises a front surface and a back surface. The front surface is configured to internally reflect light from the semiconductor light emitting device toward the back surface. The back surface is configured to internally reflect the light reflected by the front surface back toward the front surface such that the light exits the first optical member from the front surface. The second optical member is disposed directly in front of the front surface of the first optical member and diffuses the light from the first optical member to form a light distribution pattern.

A lamp unit for a vehicular headlamp includes: a projection lens arranged to have an optical axis extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction; a light-emitting element that is a light source arranged on a rear side with respect to a rear focal point of the projection lens; and a reflector that is formed so that a longitudinal section of the reflector has the shape of an ellipse having a first focal point at a center of light emission of the light-emitting element and a second focal point at the rear focal point of the projection lens, wherein the reflector is arranged to cover the light-emitting element and reflects irradiated light toward the projection lens, the irradiated light being light irradiated from the light-emitting element. A major axis of the ellipse, passing through the first focal point and the second focal point, is inclined with respect to the optical axis.

Lamp unit for vehicular headlamp

A light emitting module includes: a semiconductor light emitting element; a plate-shaped light wavelength conversion ceramic that is provided so as to face the light emitting surface of the semiconductor light emitting element and that is configured to convert the wavelength of the light, which has been emitted by the semiconductor light emitting element; and a reflective film that is formed on the surface of the light wavelength conversion ceramic and that is configured to shield part of the light, which has been transmitted through the light wavelength conversion ceramic. The light wavelength conversion ceramic is composed on an inorganic material.

Light emitting module and automotive headlamp

An automotive headlamp apparatus comprises: a lamp unit configured to be capable of forming an additional light distribution pattern that includes an upper area above the cut-off line of a light distribution pattern for low beam and that is divided into a plurality of individual patterns; and a controller configured to control formation of each of the individual patterns in accordance with presence of a forward vehicle. The controller reduces the illuminance of an individual pattern overlapping an area where a forward vehicle is present and increases the illuminance of at least one of other individual patterns.

Automotive headlamp apparatus controlling light distribution pattern

A light source module for a vehicle lamp, including an optical system that guides light emitted from the light source module in a certain irradiation direction and has an optical center, the light source module has a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements disposed in a straight line and electrically connected to each other in series. One of the semiconductor light emitting elements that is positioned closest to the optical center of the optical system has a light emitting area that is smallest of the plurality of the semiconductor light emitting elements.

Light source module and vehicle lamp

A light emitting module used in a vehicle headlamp is provided with a light source having a light emitting plane directing toward a front side of a lighting unit, a projection lens disposed ahead of the light source, and a reflecting plane extending in an oblique and forward direction from a side of the light source. The projection lens is disposed by setting a focal point in a vicinity of a lower side of the light emitting plane. The reflecting plane has a structure so that a light emitted from the light source is reflected toward a lower region from a cut line.

A vehicular headlamp unit using a light-emitting element as a light source includes a projection lens on an optical axis that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and first and second light source units arranged rearward of the projection lens. The first light source unit includes a first light-emitting clement, a first reflector arranged to cover the first light-emitting clement from above and structured to reflect light from the first light-emitting element forward toward the optical axis, and a first mirror component having an upward-facing reflective surface.
