Provided is a fuel cell system capable of suppressing the movement of an operating point of a compressor between a surge region and a non-surge region to reduce operation sounds and vibrations, the fuel cell system including at least: a fuel cell; a compressor; a dry state estimation part to estimate a dry state of the fuel cell; and a pressure target control part to control a pressure target, wherein the pressure target control part is capable of executing at least rise control and lower control, the rise control and the lower control being such that an operating point of the compressor is positioned outside a surge region, a current pressure target is corrected to the value same as a last pressure target if the current pressure target is lower (higher) than the last pressure target when the rise control (lower control) is being carried out.

A fuel cell system including a fuel cell, an air compressor that supplies oxidant gas to the fuel cell, an upstream supply pipe provided with the air compressor, a downstream supply pipe connected to the upstream supply pipe and the fuel cell, an upstream discharge pipe connected to the fuel cell, a downstream discharge pipe connected to the upstream discharge pipe, a bypass pipe, a valve mechanism configured to be switchable between a supply state and a bypass state, and a controller configured to control the air compressor, the valve mechanism, and a power generation state of the fuel cell.

A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell stack; a first cooling medium circuit through which a cooling medium for cooling the fuel cell stack flows; an ion exchanger that removes ions in the cooling medium; a second cooling medium circuit in which the average ion concentration of the cooling medium is lower than that of the cooling medium in the first cooling medium circuit; a switching valve that switches between a flow state and a low flow state; a pump configured to cause the cooling medium in the second cooling medium circuit to flow into the first cooling medium circuit; and a control unit that, when a stop period of the fuel cell system is longer than a reference period, drives the pump with the switching valve switched to the flow state after the instruction to start the fuel cell system is input.

An FC (fuel cell) system includes: an FC; a radiator configured to cool a CL (cooling liquid); an ion exchanger provided in a BFP (bypass flow path) branched off from a CFP (circulation flow path) for allowing the CL to circulate between the FC and the radiator; a multi-way valve provided in a branching point at which the BFP is branched off from the CFP; and a pump which circulates the CL. A percentage of the CL that is made to flow through the BFP can be controlled by the multi-way valve. In a case in which a stop time is longer than a threshold time when the FC system is started up, after the CL is circulated through the radiator, the CL is circulated through the BFP at the percentage of 80% or more until electrical conductivity of the CL becomes smaller than a threshold electrical conductivity.

A fuel cell system has a battery, a gas supply portion, a temperature acquisition portion configured to acquire a presumed temperature that is presumed to reach during the operation stop of the fuel cell; and a scavenging controlling portion. When it is determined that the presumed temperature is a predetermined temperature or more at the time of the operation stop of the fuel cell, the scavenging controlling portion performs the stop-time scavenging operation with a first scavenging ability; and when it is determined that the presumed temperature is less than the predetermined temperature, the scavenging controlling portion performs the stop-time scavenging operation with a second scavenging ability higher than the first scavenging ability.

When a time period from a stop to a start of a fuel cell system exceeds a predetermined time period, a controller of the fuel cell system obtains a first electrical conductivity of a cooling medium that is placed from a radiator to before a connecting location of one end portion in a cooling medium circulation flow path and a second electrical conductivity of the cooling medium that is placed on a downstream side of an ion exchanger in a bypass flow path, and uses the obtained first electrical conductivity and second electrical conductivity and a predetermined target electrical conductivity of a supply cooling medium to control the operation of a flow dividing valve such that the electrical conductivity of the supply cooling medium becomes equal to or less than the target electrical conductivity and thereby regulate a flow rate ratio.

A control unit of a fuel cell system includes a valve control unit configured such that, when it is determined that an exhaust valve is stuck open in a quick warming-up operation, the valve control unit sets at least one of an operable opening area which is an opening area capable of being changed by control and a rate of opening change which is an opening changeable frequency at which an opening is changeable per unit time, for at least one of a pressure adjusting valve and a flow division valve, such that a flow rate of a cathode gas supplied to a fuel cell is in an allowable range of a requested supply flow rate required for the quick warming-up operation.

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, an oxidizing gas supplier, an oxidizing gas supply pipe, an oxidizing gas discharge pipe, a fuel gas supply pipe, a fuel gas return pipe, a fuel gas discharge valve, and a controller. The controller executes valve closing control to close the fuel gas discharge valve; and determines the flow rate of a diluent gas to be supplied to an oxidizing gas supply portion by the oxidizing gas supplier according to the flow rate of a leakage gas flowing from the fuel gas discharge valve to the oxidizing gas discharge pipe after the execution of the valve closing control. The flow rate of the diluent gas to be supplied to the oxidizing gas supply portion is determined to increase as the flow rate of the leakage gas increases.
