A voltage detection circuit includes a first transistor and a first resistor connected in series between a power supply voltage node and a reference voltage node, a second transistor and a second resistor connected in series between the power supply voltage node and the reference voltage node, a third transistor and a third resistor connected in series between the power supply voltage node and the reference voltage node, and a signal generator that outputs a signal corresponding to a voltage of a connection node between the third transistor and the third resistor. The second transistor is first turned on among the first to third transistors and a voltage level of the power supply voltage node increases, turning off the third transistor, and then a current flows through the first transistor and the first resistor. When the third transistor is turned on, the signal generator changes a logic of the signal.

Voltage detection circuit and power-on reset circuit

A semiconductor integrated circuit includes an output transistor, an error amplifier, a replica transistor, a current-limiting circuit, and a potential regulation circuit. The output transistor is electrically connected between a power supply-side first node and an output-side second node. The replica transistor is electrically connected between the first node and a fourth node. The replica transistor constitutes a circuit that is configured to operate to correspond to the output transistor. The current-limiting circuit has an input node, that is electrically connected to a fifth node between the fourth node and a first current source, and an output node that is electrically connected to a gate of the output transistor and a gate of the replica transistor. The potential regulation circuit is electrically connected to the second node and the fourth node.

Semiconductor integrated circuit including a regulator circuit

According to one embodiment, there is provided a semiconductor integrated circuit including an output transistor, an error amplifier, and a control circuit. The output transistor is connected between a first node on an input terminal side and a second node on an output terminal side. The error amplifier has a non-inverting input terminal, an inverting input terminal, and an output terminal. The non-inverting input terminal is connected to a third node between the second node and a standard potential. The inverting input terminal is connected to a reference voltage. The output terminal is connected to the gate of the output transistor. The control circuit makes responsiveness of the error amplifier at startup slower than responsiveness of the error amplifier at steady operation.

According to one embodiment, in a semiconductor integrated circuit, a first input terminal of an error amplifier is electrically connected to a third node between a second node and a reference potential. A second input terminal of the error amplifier is electrically connected to a reference voltage. An output terminal of the error amplifier is electrically connected to a gate of an output transistor. A first input terminal of a comparator is electrically connected to a fourth node between the second node and the reference potential. A second input terminal of the comparator is electrically connected to the reference voltage. One end of a coupling capacitance is electrically connected to an output terminal of the comparator. A gate of an auxiliary transistor is electrically connected to the other end of the coupling capacitance. A drain of the auxiliary transistor is electrically connected to the second node.

According to one embodiment, an integrated circuit is formed on a semiconductor chip, a regulator supplies power to the integrated circuit via the power-supply wire, a first resistor is connected between the first pad electrode and the power-supply wire on the semiconductor chip, and a second resistor is connected between the second pad electrode and the power-supply wire on the semiconductor chip and has a resistance smaller than that of the first resistor.

According to one embodiment, a regulator is provided which comprises a reference voltage generating circuit that generates a reference voltage, a first voltage dividing circuit that divides a regulator output in voltage, an error amplifier that compares a first divided voltage obtained by dividing the regulator output and the reference voltage, and an output transistor that generates the regulator output based on the output of the error amplifier. The reference voltage generating circuit comprises a diode-connected first transistor. The reference voltage is generated based on a diode voltage generated by the first transistor.

An output circuit which outputs an output signal based on an input signal from an output terminal and brings the output terminal into a high impedance state in response to an impedance control signal. The output circuit includes an output pMOS transistor connected at a source thereof to a first power supply. The output circuit includes an output terminal connected between the drain of the output pMOS transistor and a drain of the output nMOS transistor.
