According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a housing having a conductive portion in at least a part of the housing, a component which is accommodated in the housing and emits noise, an antenna which overlaps the component in a thickness direction of the housing, and a conductive member which electrically connects a ground of the antenna and the conductive portion of the housing.

According to one embodiment, an antenna device includes a first antenna, a second antenna, a third antenna, a capacitor element, a high-frequency cable, and a base member. The first antenna includes a folded-type monopole element. The second antenna includes a monopole element. The third antenna includes a passive element. The capacitor element is between a feeding point and a stub in a backward-path portion of the first antenna. The high-frequency cable is connected to the feeding point. The base member is formed of a dielectric material and has first, second, and third surfaces located to extend in different directions. The first, second, and third antenna are located at the first, second, and third surfaces.

In an electronic device, a first housing for receiving a wireless circuit unit and a ground part, a second housing in which a ground part, a hinge mechanism which connects the first and second housings to each other to allow the first and second housings to be rotated, and first and second antennas which resonate for the same frequency band. The first and second antennas are provided in an intermediate portion of the hinge mechanism, and arranged side by side and apart from each other by a predetermined distance in a longitudinal direction of the mechanism. In the mechanism, one of end portions of the mechanism is made electrically conductive, and the other end portion is decreased in electrical conductivity.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus includes a first antenna element, a second antenna element, and a third antenna element. The first antenna element has one end connected to a feed terminal, and other end open. The second antenna element has one end connected to a first position set on an element of the first antenna element, and other end open, with a portion between one end and the other end being disposed parallel to the first antenna element. The third antenna element has one end connected to a second position set between the other end and the first position on the element of the first antenna element, and other end open, with at least part of a portion between one end and the other end being disposed near the second antenna element.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus includes an antenna element and a parasitic element. The antenna element includes an element main body whose first end portion is connected to a feed point and second end portion as the other end portion is open, with the element main body being configured to be selectable between a first state in which the element main body is retracted into a housing of the electronic device and a second state in which the element main body extends from the housing. The parasitic element is disposed such that when the antenna element is in the first state, the first end portion is connected to the element main body of the antenna element and the second end portion is connected to a ground portion.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus includes a first antenna unit disposed along a side of a ground pattern, a second antenna unit disposed along the side of the ground pattern so as to be juxtaposed with the first antenna unit, a first RF cable configured to connect the first antenna unit and the radio circuit unit, and a second RF cable configured to connect the second antenna unit and the radio circuit unit. The first RF cable and the second RF cable are routed from the first antenna unit and the second antenna unit in an arrangement direction of the first antenna unit and the second antenna unit so as to be parallel to each other, with the first RF cable being disposed so as to pass over the ground pattern.

According to one embodiment, a first antenna element is formed from a folded monopole element having one end connected to a feeding terminal, and the other end connected to a first ground terminal, with a stub being provided between a forward portion and a backward portion formed by folding a middle portion. A second antenna element is formed from a monopole element having one end connected to the feeding terminal directly or indirectly through part of the first antenna element. A third antenna element is formed from a parasitic element having one end connected to a second ground terminal provided at a position opposite to the first ground terminal through the feeding terminal, and the other end open, with at least part of the parasitic element being placed parallel to the second antenna element so as to be configured to be capacitively coupled to the second antenna element.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus comprises an antenna element connected to a feeding point, a grounded first lumped constant element connected to the antenna element, and a grounded second and third lumped constant elements connected to the antenna element through a selector. The selector is configured to connect the grounded second lumped constant element to the antenna element in order to lower a resonant frequency of the antenna element, and to connect the grounded third lumped constant element to the antenna element in order to raise the resonant frequency of the antenna element.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus comprises a first antenna element, a first lumped constant element, a first lumped constant element, a switch and at least one second lumped constant element. The first antenna element comprises a forward part, a folded part and a backward part, the forward part includes a start point connected to a feeding point, and the backward part includes an end point connected to ground. The first lumped constant element is inserted in the backward part. The switch is configured to select a current path in accordance with a control signal. The at least one second lumped constant element is to be selectively connected in parallel to the first lumped constant element through the switch.

According to one embodiment, an antenna device includes a first element, a stub, and an open end element. The first element has a folded monopole structure in which a conductor is folded at a folding portion to form a forward portion and a backward portion. A base end of the forward portion is connected to a feeding point, and a distal end of the backward portion is connected to a ground via a first lumped parameter. The stub is provided between the forward portion and the backward portion of the first element so as to shunt the forward portion and the backward portion. The open end element includes a conductor placed in parallel to the first lumped parameter. A base end of the conductor is connected between the stub of the backward portion of the first element and the ground, and the distal end of the conductor is open.

According to one embodiment, an antenna unit provided on the inner surface of the upper peripheral portion of the display housing of a notebook PC includes a projection that positions a power feeder connected to an electronic component adjacent to the antenna unit such that the power feeder extends at a constant distance from the core member of the antenna unit. The projection projects from the core member at a position at which it does not interfere with an antenna wire, and includes a recess that receives the power feeder.

A magnetic member is interposed and arranged between an antenna element and a printed circuit board, and an air member or a dielectric member is interposed between the antenna element and the magnetic member.
