An ophthalmic device to measure weakness of Zinn's zonule of an examinee's eye having: an illuminating unit arranged to illuminate the examinee's eye including a lens; an imaging unit including an imaging element and arranged to capture an image of an anterior segment illuminated by the illuminating unit; and a determination unit arranged to process the image of the anterior segment captured by the imaging unit after applying a stimulus to guide the lens to move, the determination unit being further configured to obtain positional information of a characteristic point of the lens to detect mobility of the lens relative to the pupil when the lens returns to a pre-stimulus status, and determine the zonular weakness based on the detected mobility.

An ophthalmic apparatus for guiding positioning an intraocular lens for astigmatism correction, includes: an obtaining unit for obtaining an anterior segment image of a patient's eye and an astigmatic axis of a patient's cornea; a feature point designating unit for defining a feature point of an iris or a sclera on the anterior segment image; and a display control unit for superimposing and displaying a gauge image that models a cornea gauge and an axis that represents the astigmatic axis of the cornea on the anterior segment image.

Ophthalmic apparatus

An intraocular lens selection apparatus and an intraocular lens selection method for selecting an intraocular lens to be implanted into an examinee's eye. The apparatus has an input unit which inputs corneal wavefront aberration of the eye, a memory which stores wavefront aberrations of a plurality of intraocular lens models, an unit which sets, as a target value, desired post-operative residual wavefront aberration of the eye after the lens is implanted, an unit which calculates, as an estimated value, post-operative residual wavefront aberration of the eye to be obtained when each lens model is implanted, based on the inputted corneal wavefront aberration and the stored wavefront aberration of each lens model, and specifies one of the lens models which renders the estimated value close to the set target value, a monitor, and a display control unit which controls the monitor to display information of the specified lens model.

Apparatus for selecting an intraocular lens and a method of selecting the intraocular lens

An ophthalmic ultrasonic measurement apparatus capable of narrowing differences in measurement results obtained by the apparatus which are made because of differences among examiners who operate the apparatus comprises an ultrasonic probe arranged to be brought into contact with a cornea of an examinee's eye, a calculation unit arranged to obtain a measured value of a length from the cornea to a given section inside the eye based on an echo from the eye by an ultrasonic wave which is emitted from the probe, and a memory arranged to store information on examiners and adjustment information for narrowing differences in measured values of the length which are made because of differences among the examiners while the adjustment information is associated with the examiners' information, wherein the calculation unit corrects the obtained measured value using the stored adjustment information.

Ophthalmic ultrasonic measurement apparatus, and an ophthalmic measurement method

A method and an apparatus for evaluating ablation conditions easily and for ablating a target object accurately. The method includes irradiating a reference object with a laser beam under laser irradiation conditions determined to form a second curved surface shape on the reference object having a first curved surface shape approximate to a curved surface shape of the target object, measuring a third curved shape which has actually been formed by the laser irradiation, and determining a discrepancy between the second and the third curved surface shapes. Then, data about ablation or data for controlling a laser irradiation apparatus are corrected based on results of the determination.

Method for analysis of an ablated surface, analysis on inconsistency in a laser beam, and calibration of laser beam irradiation data

A corneal surgery apparatus capable of reducing parts where a corneal curvature suddenly varies, and an apparatus for determining a corneal ablation amount. The corneal-ablation-amount determining apparatus includes a data input unit which inputs data on a correction amount of a patient's eye and data on a size of a second ablation zone for connecting a first ablation zone for securing the correction amount with a non-ablation area, a calculation unit which divides the inputted correction amount into at least ten, obtains an ablation amount for each divided correction amount as a lens component is ablated according to a size gradually enlarged from the first ablation zone to an outer diameter of the second ablation zone for each divided correction amount, and determines a total ablation amount by summing each obtained ablation amount, and an output unit which outputs data on the determined ablation amount.
