The purpose is to provide a numerical control device that can easily suppress the occurrence of burrs. The numerical control device comprises: an analysis unit that analyses a processing program for processing a workpiece in a machine tool; and a corner specifying unit that specifies the corner that causes burrs on the workpiece based on the analyzed processing program.

A numerical control device according to an aspect of the present disclosure controls a machine tool that machines a workpiece by way of a tool in accordance with a machining program, and includes: an offset setting unit which decides an offset direction and an offset amount with an orientation of the tool as a reference, for every tool; a test-running path calculation unit which calculates a test-running movement path of the tool obtained by offsetting by the offset amount in the offset direction from a machining movement path of the tool designated by the machining program; and an operating mode selection unit which selects either one of a machining operation mode of causing the tool to move following the machining movement path, and a test-run mode of causing the tool to move following the test-running movement path.

A detection device includes an idling feed threshold acquiring unit configured to acquire, as an idling feed threshold, a threshold of an acceptable load in an idling feed operation; an expected load acquiring unit configured to acquire, as an expected load, an expected increase in load due to execution of an actual machining operation; a calculating unit configured to calculate, based on the idling feed threshold and the expected load, an actual machining threshold which is a threshold of an acceptable load in the actual machining operation; an actual machining load acquiring unit configured to acquire, as an actual machining load, an actual load during an actual machining operation; and a detecting unit configured to detect, based on the operating mode, an excess of the actual machining load relative to the idling feed threshold or the actual machining threshold.

A cutting distance calculating device for a multi-axis working machine acquires axis positions at calculation times for at least three linear axes and two rotation axes of a multi-axis working machine and calculates the position of a tool tip point on the basis of the acquired axis positions. This device accumulates moving distances (cutting distances) of the tool tip points from the calculated position of the tool tip point to thereby calculate a cutting distance and predicts tool wear and tool life on the basis of the calculated cutting distance.
