An additive manufacturing system includes an additive manufacturing apparatus and a modeling-data providing apparatus. The modeling-data providing apparatus includes: a dividing unit configured to divide modeling data into n packets of transmission data; and a data transmitting unit configured to transmit the n packets of the transmission data to the additive manufacturing apparatus in series.
