A vehicle lamp includes a light source, and a reflector including a diffusion/reflection surface configured to diffuse and reflect light emitted from the light source toward a front surface side, the diffusion/reflection surface has a curved surface shape that forms a curve according to directionality of the light emitted from the light source in a cross section in at least one direction along an optical axis of the light emitted from the light source.

Provided are a light-emitting device and a method of manufacturing the same. The light-emitting device includes a flexible surface light source curved in a desired shape, a first fixture that includes first and second positioning ribs, and has a first curved surface between the first and second positioning ribs, and a second fixture having a second curved surface. The method includes mounting the surface light source in a flat state on the first positioning rib and the second positioning rib such that the front or rear surface and the first curved surface face to each other across a space, bringing the second fixture close to the first fixture and pushing the surface light source toward the first fixture to curve the surface light source, and fixing the first and second fixtures together with the curved surface light source held therebetween.

A lamp can include LED lamps as a light source. An optical guide path including a first reflecting surface and a second reflecting surface can be provided between the LED lamp and a lens that radiates an illumination light. The optical guide path can be integrally composed of a high-refractivity material. Thus, the light passing through the optical guide path can more efficiently reach the lens. In addition, the integral optical guide path requires less assembly and thus can improve accuracy of assembly and can possibly result in a large gain in the amount of light emitted from the lamp.

Vehicle lamp and method of use

A lamp fitting structure having a small depth dimension can include a socket for fixing a wedge-base lamp. The socket can include an insertion portion for receiving and fitting a fixed portion of the lamp therein, a peripheral portion and a rear end portion on the back face, all integrally formed. An opening can be provided which penetrates through from the insertion portion to the rear end portion. The socket does not require an electrical feed terminal for electrical connection, and only performs fixation of the inserted lamp A connector can be fitted into the opening in the rear end portion, for electrically connecting the feed terminal disposed in the connector to a lead wire of the wedge-base lamp. By inserting and fitting the connector into the socket from the rear end portion thereof the fixation between the wedge-base lamp and the socket can be made more secure. As a result, the depth dimension can be reduced, and a fitting structure that is easily operated can be provided,
