An image capturing apparatus in which an image of a subject formed by lenses and a low pass filter of a photographic optical system is provided to an imaging device unit that supplies a corresponding signal to an A/D converter that in turn provides an output to an image processing unit. A blur-detecting device with a blur detecting part and a blur detecting unit detect blur that is compensated by a blur compensating unit with a blur-compensation driving unit. A system controller computes a displacement amount for blur compensation by the blur-compensation driving unit driving the blur compensating unit based on an output of the blur detecting device. A memory group is included for calibrating a conversion coefficient used by the system controller in calculating the displacement amount.

A valve device including a valve chamber having an inlet port at one end and a valve seat at the other end; a valve housing containing the valve chamber; the valve chamber accommodating a spherical valve element which performs opening and closing operation to the valve seat, and a valve spring which urges the valve element in a closing direction; and a push rod which penetrates a center hole of the valve seat and pushes the valve element in an opening direction. A cylindrical valve guide member is fit into the valve chamber, the cylindrical valve guide member including a plurality of guide projections on an inner peripheral surface to guide opening and closing operation of the valve element. Grooves between the plurality of guide projections serve as passages providing communication between the inlet port and the valve seat.

A printer of the present invention includes at least a first and a second drum unit each including a respective print drum. Angular position sensing device each are assigned to the respective print drum. A main motor included in drum drive mechanism is controlled on the basis of the output of a first or a second drum unlock key such that the print drum of the first or second drum unit is brought to a preselected home position. The printer has a compact configuration and promotes easy, efficient manipulation without resorting to conventional top-bottom movement adjustment mechanism including top-bottom moving device.
