An ultrasonic transmitter unit includes: a sheath that forms a cylindrical shape and is having a proximal end and a distal end; an ultrasonic transmitter configured to be inserted into the sheath; and a cover member that covers a part of the ultrasonic transmitter and has an inner surface and an outer surface. The ultrasonic transmitter includes: a first area surrounded by the sheath; a second area protruding from the distal end of the sheath; and a distal-end treatment portion provided in a distal end of the second area. The cover member covers the second area of the ultrasonic transmitter, and exposes the distal-end treatment portion of the ultrasonic transmitter to an outside, and is made of fluorine-based resin.

Ultrasonic transmitter unit

A method of performing a procedure on a meniscus, via an ultrasonic surgical tool. The ultrasonic tool includes a probe capable of transmitting ultrasonic vibration from a proximal end toward a front end. The probe includes a bent portion that is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis of the probe, and a procedure portion that is disposed at the front end of the probe and has a plurality of cutting surfaces. The method includes: inserting the probe in a body; moving the probe through a space in between the femur and the tibia to position the procedure portion adjacent to the horizontal rupture in the meniscus; positioning a cutting surface of the procedure portion on a posterior portion of the meniscus; and resecting the horizontal rupture along an inclination of the meniscus to form an inclined resection plane.

Ultrasonic probe

An ultrasonic probe includes a treatment portion that has a through-hole or concave portions. The through-hole extends from a first outer surface to a second outer surface facing in an opposite direction to that of the first outer surface. The concave portions include a first concave portion on the first outer surface, and a second concave portion on the second outer surface. The treatment portion includes a blade formed along an edge of an opening of the through-hole or the first concave portion. An outer relay surface extends from the blade to the second outer surface and faces away from a center axis of the through-hole or the concave portions. A distance from the center axis to the blade is greater than or equal to a distance from the center axis to the outer relay surface at a position between the blade and the second outer surface.

Combined ultrasonic treatment device and probe for arthroscopic surgery

An endoscopic treatment instrument includes a guide sheath. The guide sheath includes a second distal end, which has an inside diameter to insert the insertion portion therethrough so that the distal end of the insertion portion is configured to protrude relative to the second distal end. The guide sheath is inserted through the guide pipe so that the second distal end is configured to protrude relative to the first distal end of the guide pipe.

Endoscopic treatment instrument, treatment instrument unit, and treatment system

A history information obtaining unit obtains information about a use history of an endoscope. An estimating unit makes an estimation of a secular change in the endoscope from its use start until the present time based on this information. A displaying unit displays a ratio of a result of the estimation made by the estimating unit to the degree of the secular change, which is preset for the endoscope.

Disclosed is a method for controlling a distributed-memory multiprocessor system having a plurality of nodes mutually connected by a network, each of the nodes having a CPU and a memory, and a plurality of user tasks which belong to the same application and are executed in different nodes, which method comprises the steps of: (a) assigning a transmission resource of a network interface in the node to a user task that will be executed next and starting the execution of the user task when a context switching operation is performed; (b) reading data written by the user task from the transmission resource, adding to the data a communication identifier that is assigned to an application to which the user task belongs and that identifies a data reception area, and transmitting the resultant data to a reception side node through the network, in the network interface of each transmission side node; and (c) selecting a data reception area for storing data received from another node from a plurality of data receiving areas on the basis of the communication identifier added to the received data and storing the received data in the selected data reception area, in the network interface of each reception side node.
