The laminated structure includes a lightweight and shape-retaining foamed resin base member, an outer circumference frame integrally laminated on the reverse side of the foamed resin base member along the outer circumference of an article, and bridging ribs connecting between respective points on the outer circumference frame. Accordingly, the present invention provides a lightweight laminated structure with low cost by reducing the amount of the resin used, since the molded synthetic resin outer circumference frame and bridging ribs have small projection areas.

An intake air control system for an internal combustion engine is provided which comprises an intake throttle valve that controls an intake air quantity of air flowing into the engine, an EGR valve that controls a quantity of exhaust gas recirculated back to a portion of an intake system of the engine downstream of the intake throttle valve, and a control unit that controls the intake throttle valve and the EGR valve in accordance with an operating condition of the engine. The control unit includes a target opening area calculating section that calculates a target opening area of the intake throttle valve based on a target EGR ratio corresponding to the operating condition of the engine, and a control section that controls an opening degree of the intake throttle valve based on the target opening area. An intake air control method is also provided.

Intake air control system and method for an internal combustion engine

At least an engine speed, an opening of an accelerator and an amount of an intake air are detected as an engine operating condition. A standard volume for injecting fuel oil is calculated on the basis of at least the engine speed and the opening of the accelerator. A target injection timing of fuel is set on the basis of the engine speed and the standard volume for injecting fuel oil. An actual fuel injection timing is detected. A standard target EGR rate is calculated on the basis of the engine speed, the amount of the intake air and the standard volume for injecting fuel oil. An amount of adjustment of a target EGR rate is calculated on the basis of the standard volume for injecting fuel oil, the target fuel injection timing and the actual fuel injection timing. A final target EGR rate is set on the basis of the standard target EGR rate and the amount of adjustment. An EGR is controlled on the basis of the final target EGR rate.
