A control method is provided for an ink jet recording apparatusincluding a recording headfor ejecting ink to a medium, a heating meansfor heating the recording head, an ink storage partwhich reserves ink supplied to the recording head, and a negative pressure adjusting partwhich adjusts a pressure in an inside of the ink storage partto be a negative pressure. In the control method, when the ink jet recording apparatusis to be turned off, heating of the recording headby the heating partis turned off but the negative pressure adjusting partis left to be in an 'ON' state so that the negative pressure in the inside of the ink storage partis maintained and, after that, the negative pressure adjusting partis turned off.

Ink jet recording apparatus

A flushing apparatus includes a suction mechanism and an ink mist collecting mechanism. The suction mechanism is to suck ink mist. The ink mist collecting mechanism is to collect the ink mist by a suction force of the suction mechanism. The ink mist collecting mechanism includes an upper face part and a droplet forming member. The ink ejected from the nozzle is dropped on the upper face part. The upper face part includes a plurality of suction holes through which the ink mist is sucked into an inside of the ink mist collecting mechanism by the suction force of the suction mechanism. The droplet forming member is provided at a position corresponding to the plurality of the suction holes to provide droplets from the ink mist sucked through the plurality of the suction holes.

Flushing apparatus for inkjet printer

A printing method for performing enlargement printing of one continuous line by simultaneously shifting a plurality of printing heads by a shifting magnitude. The shifting magnitude of the printing heads is set to be greater than a shifting magnitude utilized in standard printing. Dividing points for shifting traces of each of the printing heads are set such that the shifting traces of adjacent printing heads partially overlap one another. Divided printing zones are established between the dividing points, and the printing timing of the printing heads is controlled for performing the enlargement printing of the one continuous line. Additionally, a printing method for performing reduction printing of one continuous line is performed by setting a shifting magnitude of the printing heads to be equal to that used in standard printing. Divided printing zones are established to be printed by at least two printing heads in a non-overlapping manner. The printing timing of the respective printing heads is controlled for performing a reduced printing of the one continuous line.
