A processing device configured to process a printed sheet () includes an embossing device () configured to perform emboss-processing of the sheet (), and a final processing device configured to perform final working processing of a surface of the sheet (). The final processing device includes at least one of a number printing device () configured to print a number on the sheet (), and a varnishing device configured to apply a varnish to the sheet (). There is provided a processing device capable of performing emboss-processing without disturbing sheet feeding when performing the final process of printing by performing the emboss-processing at an appropriate stage of a printing step.

Processing device

In order to provide a numbering and imprinting machine capable of minimizing the amount of wasted paper produced, the numbering and imprinting machine is provided with: a first-number inspection camera (B) that is arranged downstream of the position of contact between an impression cylinder () and a first-number cylinder () of a first-number printing unit () in the direction of rotation of the impression cylinder (), and images a first number printed on paper (W) held on the impression cylinder (); a second number inspection camera (C) that is arranged downstream of the position of contact between an impression cylinder () and a second-number cylinder () of a second-number printing unit () in the direction of rotation of the impression cylinder (), and images a second number printed on paper (W) held on the impression cylinder (); and a printing-press control device () that controls first- and second-number-cylinder throw-on and throw-off devices () based on signals from the first- and second-number inspection cameras (B,C) to cause the first-number cylinder () and the second-number cylinder () to make separating movements.

Number printing apparatus

An Orlof printing section () is provided with an Orlof printing unit that has the following: partial plate cylinders (), a collecting blanket cylinder (), a collecting plate cylinder (), a blanket cylinder (), an impression cylinder (), and a moving inker (). An offset printing section () is provided with front-side and back-side offset printing units (--) that each have an ink-supply device (), a plate cylinder (), a blanket cylinder (), and an impression cylinder (). The respective impression cylinders of the front-side offset printing unit and the back-side offset printing unit are placed up against each other such that said printing units receive and output sheets between said impression cylinders. The offset printing section () is also provided with a front-side inspection camera () and a back-side inspection camera (). The Orlof printing section and the offset printing section are connected by transfer cylinders ().

Combination printer

An intaglio printing press includes: a first intaglio printing unit; a second intaglio printing unit; a dryer for drying a printed surface of a sheet subjected to printing by the first intaglio printing unit; a convertible unit which holds and conveys the sheet received from the first intaglio printing unit and passes the sheet to the second intaglio printing unit in such a way that a surface of the sheet to be subjected to intaglio printing by the second intaglio printing unit is switchable between one surface and another surface of the sheet; and a second skewing adjustment cylinder and a second circumferential adjustment cylinder which are disposed between the convertible unit and the second intaglio printing unit and which adjust a position of a pattern to be intaglio-printed on the sheet by the second intaglio printing unit.

Intaglio printing press

An inking device of a numbering and imprinting machine includes: a numbering unit provided on an outer peripheral portion of a numbering cylinder and configured to print a code onto a transported sheet; a partition member configured to partition the inside of the ink fountain such that inks are stored divided by their colors inside the ink fountain; an ink fountain roller configured to draw out the inks stored in the divided manner inside the ink fountain, such that the inks appear side by side in the roller axial direction; select rollers onto which the inks fed from the ink fountain roller are transferred, respectively; oscillating rollers onto which the inks fed from the select rollers are transferred, respectively; and form rollers configured to rotate such that convex portions thereof, onto which the inks fed from the oscillating rollers are transferred, come into contact with the numbering unit.

Inking device of numbering and imprinting machine

A printing press includes an impression cylinder, a blanket cylinder, a collecting plate cylinder, a collecting blanket cylinder, a plurality of partial plate cylinders, a plurality of inking devices, and a dampening unit. The impression cylinder holds and transports a sheet. The blanket cylinder is in contact with the impression cylinder. The collecting plate cylinder is in contact with the blanket cylinder, and a lithographic printing plate is mounted on the collecting plate cylinder. The collecting blanket cylinder is in contact with the collecting plate cylinder. The plurality of partial plate cylinders are in contact with the collecting blanket cylinder. The plurality of inking devices supply ink to the plurality of partial plate cylinders, respectively. The dampening unit supplies dampening water to the collecting plate cylinder.

Printing press

A numbering and imprinting machine includes: a numbering printing unit for one surface including an impression cylinder and a numbering cylinder; a first numbering printing unit for the other surface including an impression cylinder and a numbering cylinder; a drying unit for numbering printing for one surface including a drying cylinder and a drying device; a second numbering printing unit for the other surface including an impression cylinder and a numbering cylinder; and a drying unit for numbering printing for the other surface including a transfer cylinder, a drying cylinder, and a drying device.

Numbering and imprinting machine and printing press utilizing the same

Securities printer

In a proof printing press, a length of an outer circumference of a plate cylinder at a downstream side of a facing position P1 in a rotation direction is longer than a length in a circumferential direction of a mounting surface of the plate cylinder, where the length of the outer circumference of the plate cylinder extends between the facing position P1 where the plate cylinder faces a collecting cylinder and a facing position P2 where the plate cylinder faces a wiping roller, and a length of the outer circumference of the plate cylinder at a downstream side of the facing position P2 is longer than the length in the circumferential direction of the mounting surface of the plate cylinder, where the length of the outer circumference of the plate cylinder extends between the facing position P2 and a facing position P3 where the plate cylinder faces an impression cylinder.

Proof printing press

A multicolor offset printing press includes a first blanket cylinder, at least four plate cylinders, a collecting plate cylinder, a collecting blanket cylinder, at least two partial plate cylinders, and a plurality of ink devices. The first blanket cylinder performs printing on a transported target printing product. The four plate cylinders are in contact with the first blanket cylinder. The collecting plate cylinder is in contact with the first blanket cylinder on the downstream side in the rotational direction of the first blanket cylinder with respect to a last plate cylinder positioned on the most downstream side in the rotational direction of the first blanket cylinder among the four plate cylinders, and on the upstream side in the rotational direction of the first blanket cylinder with respect to a printing portion at which the first blanket cylinder performs printing on the target printing product. The collecting blanket cylinder is in contact with the collecting plate cylinder and transfers ink to the collecting plate cylinder. The two partial plate cylinders are in contact with the collecting blanket cylinder. The plurality of ink devices supply inks to the four plate cylinders and the two partial plate cylinders, respectively.

Multicolor offset printing press

In a printing press including; a blanket cylinder gear driven by a drive motor of the printing press; a blanket cylinder including a notch, the blanket cylinder being rotationally driven by the blanket cylinder gear; a plate cylinder gear rotationally driven by the drive motor of the printing press through the blanket cylinder gear; and a plate cylinder including a notch at a position corresponding to the notch of the blanket cylinder, the plate cylinder being rotationally driven by the plate cylinder gear, a load motor is provided to the plate cylinder or the plate cylinder gear, and a braking force of the load motor is controlled according to load applied to the drive motor of the printing press.

Method and apparatus for driving printing press

In a sheet-fed printing press including; an impression cylinder gear driven by an upstream drive motor of an upstream printing unit group; an impression cylinder rotationally driven by the impression cylinder gear; a transfer cylinder gear of a convertible press mechanism rotationally driven by the upstream drive motor through the impression cylinder; and a transfer cylinder which is provided with a notch and is rotationally driven by the transfer cylinder gear, a load motor is provided to the transfer cylinder or the transfer cylinder gear, and braking force of the load motor is controlled according to load on the upstream drive motor.

Method and apparatus for driving processor

An ink supply apparatus of a printing press includes at least one inking device. In the inking device, an ink fountain roller is rotatably supported. An ink fountain main body forms a space to store an ink together with an outer surface of the ink fountain roller. A guide member slidably supports the ink fountain main body and guides the ink fountain main body between a first position where the space is formed and a second position spaced apart from the ink fountain roller than the first position. A doctor including a blade is attached to a doctor holding member between the ink fountain main body and the ink fountain roller when the ink fountain main body is located at the second position. The blade abuts against the ink fountain roller and cleans the ink fountain roller.

Ink supply apparatus of printing press

Provided is a quality inspection apparatus including: gripper units provided to each delivery chain, each gripper unit configured to hold an end portion of a sheet; an arc-shaped track portion provided in a part of a movement track of the gripper units and formed by the movement track; an inspection unit installed at an opposite side of the arc-shaped track portion from an arc center of the arc-shaped track portion; and a vacuum cylinder installed at the same side of the arc-shaped track portion as the arc center. In the apparatus, while running along the arc-shaped track portion, the sheet is inspected by the inspection unit under a guidance of the vacuum cylinder.
