A fixing device includes a heat assembly including an endless belt, a heat source, an attachment member having an attachment surface and first and second side surfaces, and a slide sheet having first and second end portions that are respectively fixed to a first fixing portion at the first side surface and a second fixing portion at the second side surface, the slide sheet having a larger length from the first end portion to the second end portion than a length of a path of the attachment member extending from the first fixing portion to the second fixing portion through the first side surface, the attachment surface, and the second side surface; and a pressure roller that presses the outer surface of the endless belt to the attachment surface.

An object detecting apparatus that detects an object including a magnetic body including: a detection signal acquiring unit that acquires a detection signal based on a magnetic signal; a disturbance source detection signal storage unit that stores a detection signal of a disturbance source that generates a disturbance component with respect to the detection signal; a determining unit that determines whether the detection signal acquired by the detection signal acquiring unit contains the disturbance component; an amplitude correction unit that corrects an amplitude of the disturbance source detection signal and generates an amplitude-corrected disturbance source detection signal; a disturbance component suppression unit that generates a determination signal by suppressing the disturbance component contained in the detection signal; and an object determination unit that determines whether the object is the object to be detected based on the determination signal.

Object detecting apparatus

A baggage management gate including an exciting coil, a detecting coil and signal processing unit. The exciting coil forms an alternating magnetic field in a passage to an area from which manages objects to be carried in or carried out. The detecting coil detects a variation in the alternating magnetic field when magnetization of a magnetic material showing a large Barkhausen effect is reversed in the alternating magnetic field. The signal processing unit determines as to whether the magnetization reversal occurs in the alternating magnetic field due to the large Barkhausen effect or not, based on a signal detected by the detecting coil. The signal processing unit includes amplifier that amplifies the signal detected by the detecting coil with plural different amplification factors and output the amplified signals with each of the plural different amplification factors.

Baggage management gate

A flat detector includes a first flat member and a second flat member both made of a nonmagnetic nonmetal, a first conductive wiring that generates an alternating magnetic field, the first conductive wiring being disposed on a surface of the first flat member facing toward the second flat member, a first layer made of a nonmagnetic metal and disposed at least on a surface of the first flat member, a second conductive wiring that detects a signal generated by magnetization reversal of a magnetic material, the magnetization reversal being caused by the alternating magnetic field generated by the first conductive wiring, the second conductive wiring being disposed on a surface of the second flat member facing toward the first flat member, and a second layer made of a nonmagnetic metal and disposed at least on a surface of the second flat member.

Flat detector and medium detector

A baggage management gate includes a first reading device and a second reading device, a detecting device, a determining unit, a first opening and closing device and a second opening and closing device. The baggage management gate manages baggage that is restricted to be carried in or out from a predetermined region. And in order away from the region in which the baggage is managed, the first reading device, the second opening and closing device, the detecting device for both the first person and the second person, the first opening and closing device, and the second reading device are arranged in an entrance direction from the passage to the management region in which the baggage is managed.
