A measurement device includes a sensor that detects a particular substance, a storage unit that stores calibration data that indicate a relationship between a measurement value of the particular substance and an output of the sensor, and a calculation unit that calculates the measurement value of the particular substance from the calibration data based on the output of the sensor. The calculation unit produces a first waveform where a plurality of first outputs of the sensor are normalized, produces a plurality of second waveforms where a plurality of second outputs of the sensor that are included in the calibration data are normalized. The calculation unit calculates a measurement value of the particular substance based on the first waveform and the plurality of second waveforms.

There are provided a detection sensor, a detection sensor kit, a sensor device, a method for producing a detection sensor and a detection method which enable measurement by a simple operation. A detection sensor includes a detecting element, a first member and a second member. The detecting element detects a detection object contained in a sample. The first member includes a first channel portion, and the first channel portion includes a first storage section which stores a reagent which is fed to the detecting element. The second member is movable relative to the first member and includes a second channel portion. In the detection sensor, the first member and the second member are joined with each other and form a joined channel in which the first channel portion and the second channel portion communicate with each other.

A sensor according to a first embodiment of the present invention includes a flow channel to permit passage of a specimen, a first detection part that is located in the flow channel and has a first ligand specifically bindable to a first material in the specimen, and a second detection part that is located downstream of the first detection part in the flow channel and has a second ligand specifically bindable to the first material and/or a second material in the specimen.

Sensor

There is provided a sensor and the like which can detect a first substance with high accuracy. A sensor for detecting whether an analyte contains a first substance, includes a base and a detection section including a second substance immobilized on a surface of the base. The second substance includes an amino acid, a bond which can be cleaved by a reaction with an enzyme, and a first compound which is bonded to the amino acid by the bond and includes a first group capable of bonding to other substances, and the analyte is configured to be introduced to the detection section by being contacted with a third substance which generates the enzyme by a reaction with the first substance.

Sensor, detection method, detection system, and detection apparatus

The present invention provides a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of suitably controlling the flow of a liquid sample onto IDT electrodes. A surface acoustic wave sensor has a piezoelectric substrate, a first IDT electrode and a second IDT electrode which are located on the upper surface of the piezoelectric substrate and are separated from each other while sandwiching a detection part on the piezoelectric substrate therebetween, and the cover which forms the space being on the first IDT electrode, second IDT electrode, and the detection part and straddling them. On the lower surface of the cover, the detection part-facing surface facing the detection part has a smaller contact angle to the liquid sample than that of a pair of electrode-facing surfaces facing the first IDT electrode and second IDT electrode.

Surface acoustic wave sensor

A liquid specimen sensor includes a pair of first IDT electrodes and a pair of second IDT electrodes, a pair of first input connection conductors connected to one of the pair of first IDT electrodes and extending to the outside of the flow path, a pair of first output connection conductors connected to the other of the pair of first IDT electrodes and extending to the outside of the flow path, a pair of second input connection conductors connected to one of the pair of second IDT electrodes and extending to the outside of the flow path, and a pair of second output connection conductors connected to the other of the pair of second IDT electrodes and extending to the outside of the flow path. The sum of the line lengths in the flow path of the pair of first input connection conductors and the pair of first output connection conductors and the sum of the line lengths in the flow path of the pair of second input connection conductors and the pair of second output connection conductors are equal.

Liquid specimen sensor and method of measuring liquid specimen

A biosensor, including: a first cover member comprising an element-accommodating recess in an upper face thereof; a detection element using a surface acoustic wave, the detection element including an element substrate accommodated in the element-accommodating recess, and at least one detection unit located on an upper face of the element substrate configured to perform detection of an analyte; and a second cover member joined to the first cover member and covering the detection element, and including an inflow port from which the analyte flows in and a groove which extends from the inflow port to at least above the at least one detection unit and constitutes a capillary.

Biosensor

A sensor includes an inflow section into which an analyte liquid flows; a first cover member; a detection element including an element substrate located on an upper surface of the first cover member, and a detection section which is located on an upper surface of the element substrate and is configured to detect a target contained in an analyte liquid; an intermediate cover member including a first upstream portion; a second cover member including a second upstream portion; and a flow channel which is surrounded by the intermediate cover member and the second cover member, is continuous with the inflow section, and extends at least to the detection section. A contact angle &#x3b8;of a lower surface of the second upstream portion of the second cover member with the analyte liquid is smaller than a contact angle &#x3b8;of an upper surface of the detection element with the analyte liquid.

Sensor apparatus

A sensor is provided with a sensor element which outputs a signal in accordance with a detected object contained in a specimen positioned on a detection part in an element surface and with a package which accommodates the sensor element inside it and has a passage including a space positioned on the element surface. A lower surface of the passage has the element surface and a lower surface of an inflow passage extending toward the space, and a gap is positioned between the lower surface of the inflow passage and the element surface. The element surface is positioned above the lower surface of the inflow passage.

The present invention provides a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of suitably controlling the flow of a liquid sample onto IDT electrodes. A surface acoustic wave sensorhas a piezoelectric substrate, a first IDT electrode and a second IDT electrode which are located on the upper surface of the piezoelectric substrate and are separated from each other while sandwiching a detection part (detection region) on the piezoelectric substrate there between, and the cover which forms the space being on the first IDT electrode, second IDT electrode, and detection part and straddling them. A sensor apparatus includes a first cover member; a detection element including an element substrate located on the first cover member, and a detection portion configured to detect an analyte, the detection portion being located on the element substrate; a terminal located on the first cover member and electrically connected to the detection element; an intermediate cover member located on the first cover member and having a space with the detection element; a filler member located in the space between the detection element and the intermediate cover member; a second cover member configured to cover at least a part of the detection element and joined to at least one of the first cover member and the intermediate cover member; an inlet into which the analyte flows; and a flow passage which is continuous with the inlet, and extends at least to the detection portion.

To provide a biosensor including a suctioning mechanism while using a detection element such as a surface acoustic wave device, included are: a first cover memberincluding an element-accommodating recesson an upper face thereof; a detection elementincluding an element substrate, and at least one detection unitlocated on the upper face of the element substrateto perform detection of an analyte; and a second cover memberjoined to the first cover memberand covering the detection element, and including an inflow portfrom which the analyte flows in and a grooveextending from the inflow portto at least above the detection unit.
