A steer-by-wire steering system including a steering device including a steering motor and a controller configured to supply a steering current to the steering motor based on a steering request. The controller includes a plurality of microcomputers, a plurality of drive circuits, and a plurality of temperature sensors. When a detection temperature difference that is a difference between detection temperatures of any two of the plurality of temperature sensors is greater than a predetermined threshold, each of the plurality of microcomputers executes an independent calculation control to independently calculate and set a current limit value, which is an upper limit value of the steering current, based on a detection temperature of one of the plurality of temperature sensors corresponding to itself, irrespective of detection temperatures of one or more of the plurality of temperature sensors other than the one of the plurality of temperature sensors corresponding to itself.

Steer-by-wire steering system

A main power supply having a large capacity and a backup power supply having a small capacity are switchable by a power supply switching determination unit in a system. A motor control device drives a motor by the main power supply or the backup power supply. A drive control unit outputs a drive signal, calculated by feedback control of the current detection value with respect to the current command value, to an inverter circuit. When the power supply switching determination unit switches from the main power supply to the backup power supply, the drive control unit moves from a normal control using the main power supply to a backup control that restricts an electric power consumption and prevents the backup power supply from stopping.

Motor control device and steering system having the same

Each of a plurality of microcomputers outputs a motor drive signal, which is generated based on a current command value and a current limit value as a control amount command value and a control amount limit value, to each motor drive circuit. When an OFF determination of an own microcomputer is made, each microcomputer executes first end processing as a first stage of end processing and transmits an OFF determination signal to the other microcomputer. When the OFF determination signal is received from the other microcomputer, each microcomputer determines that the OFF determination has been made and starts second end processing which gradually decreases the current command value or the current control limit value from a present value. When the second end processing is completed and power-off preparation of the own microcomputer and the other microcomputer is completed, each microcomputer executes final end processing for turning off the power supply relay.

Control apparatus

An electric power steering device including a column actuator disposed on a column side of the intermediate shaft and outputting a column assist torque; a rack actuator disposed on a rack side of the intermediate shaft and outputting a rack assist torque; a column torque sensor coaxially disposed with the steering shaft and detecting a column torsion torque; a rack torque sensor coaxially disposed with the intermediate shaft and detecting a rack torsion torque; and a calculator calculating instruction values of the column assist torque and the rack assist torque based on the torsion torques.

Electric power steering device

A rotation electric machine controller includes: a torque command value acquisition section that acquires a torque command value for a rotation electric machine; and a setting section that sets a negative limit value limiting a d-axis current command value. The setting section sets the limit value having a larger absolute value in a case where the torque command value is large, in comparison to a case where the torque command value is small.

Rotation electric machine controller

A calculator or an electronic control unit (ECU) calculates an instruction value of a column assist torque and a rack assist torque output from a column actuator, or a column motor, and a rack actuator, or a rack motor, based at least on a torsion torque. The calculator includes a base assist controller, a stabilization controller, and an adder. The base assist controller individually or commonly calculates a base assist torque based on the torsion torque. The stabilization controller individually or commonly calculates a stabilization torque for stabilizing a steering system. The adder performs addition of the base assist torque and the stabilization torque.

In a motor driving device, a current detector detects a value of the motor current, and a limit variable calculator calculates a calculation value of a limit variable for limiting the command current. A determiner determines, based on a relationship between the value of the motor current and the calculation value of the limit variable, whether the motor current is in a less-response situation to change of the command current. A current limiter determines whether to limit a value of the command current based on the calculation value of the limit variable in accordance with a result of the determination of whether the motor current is in the less-response situation to change of the command current.

Motor driving device and steering system

A motor control device includes a plurality of systems capable of controlling current supply to a motor. Each microcomputer of first and second systems is configured to communicate information of the own system and the other system by inter-computer communication and has an independent ground potential. A power supply current flowing between a power supply and a power converter is assumed to be positive and negative in a power running state and a regeneration state. Each microcomputer monitors the power supply current of each system by the inter-computer communication, and executes a power supply current balancing process of limiting a current command value or a voltage command value of at least one of the two systems thereby to decrease a power supply current difference between the two systems when the power supply current difference between the two systems exceeds a target value.

Motor control device

A rotation electric machine controller that is applied to a system including a rotation electric machine and a power converter is provided. The rotation electric machine controller includes: a d-axis command value set portion that sets a negative d-axis current command value; and an operation portion that operates the power converter to control a d-axis current to the d-axis current command value. The d-axis command value set portion increases an absolute value of the d-axis current command value in response to that the q-axis parameter is larger than the target value. The d-axis command value set portion decreases the absolute value of the d-axis current command value in response to that the q-axis parameter is less than the target value.

A microcomputer includes an abnormality monitor unit, a rotation angle calculation unit and a current supply control unit. The abnormality monitor unit monitors an abnormality of the rotation angle sensor. The rotation angle calculation unit calculates an electrical angle based on angle information acquired from the rotation angle sensor and an abnormality state of the rotation angle sensor. The current supply control unit controls current supply to the winding sets based on the electrical angle. When an abnormality is detected in one of the sensor units, the rotation angle calculation unit calculates the electrical angle based on a hold value which is the electrical angle before the detection of abnormality during a period from the detection of abnormality to a final determination of the abnormality. When the abnormality of the sensor unit is finalized, the electrical angle is calculated based on the angle information of the other sensor unit which is normal.

Electric power steering apparatus

A control device is provided for a three-phase rotary machine including two three-phase-winding sets. The control device includes two power converters for outputting alternating currents with a same amplitude and a phase difference of (30&#xb1;60&#xd7;n) degrees to the two three-phase-winding sets and a control unit for controlling energization of the three-phase rotary machine by calculating a d-axis current and a q-axis current of a 6(2k+1)th component to be superimposed on a fundamental wave component on dq coordinates so as to reduce a phase current peak value. The control unit calculates currents so that a high-order dq amplitude ratio is 0 when a fundamental wave current amplitude is a first threshold or less, and the high-order dq amplitude ratio is 1 when the fundamental wave current amplitude is larger than a second threshold.

Control device for three-phase rotary machine

A controller of a multiphase rotating electric machine has two inverters outputting an alternating current to two sets of windings, and a control section driving a motor by switching between a 'two-system driving mode' supplying power from the two inverters to the two sets of winding and a 'one-system driving mode' supplying power from one of the two inverters to the corresponding set of windings, The control section in the one-system driving mode changes at least one of a maximum amplitude and a current phase of the alternating current used in the two-system driving mode to compensate for a reluctance torque generated by a mutual inductance of the two sets of winding in the two-system driving mode.

Controller of multiphase rotating electric machine

A motor control device of an electric motor includes: a board with a heat sink; multiple switching elements; a drive circuit IC; a control circuit IC; first and second temperature sensors; a temperature information processing unit; and an abnormality determination unit. An out-of-normal-range state is a state where a temperature deviation exceeds a normal deviation threshold, and it is impossible to determine which one of the first and second temperature sensors is abnormal. When both sensors are normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of first and second detected temperatures. When one sensor is abnormal and the other is normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures of a normal sensor. When both sensors fall in the out-of-normal-range state, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures which meets a predetermined condition.

In an apparatus, an execution determiner determines, for each of sequential first and second motor control cycles, whether to execute a voltage correction task for a voltage command, and obtains, for each of the first and second motor control cycles, a voltage correction as a function of a fundamental voltage correction and the determination result. A voltage corrector corrects, for each of the first and second motor control cycles, the voltage command based on the voltage correction. A correction voltage feedback unit feeds back a value of the voltage correction calculated at the first motor control cycle to a voltage command calculator. The voltage command calculator calculates a value of the voltage command for the second motor control cycle based on the value of the voltage correction fed back from the correction voltage feedback unit in addition to a value of the motor current parameter and a predetermined current command.

Motor control apparatus and electric power steering system

In an apparatus, a motor current limit calculator calculates a motor current limit to which a motor current is to be limited. A motor current command calculator calculates a motor current command representing a target value for the motor current. A current command corrector corrects the motor current command as a function of the motor current limit. A motor voltage command calculator calculates a motor voltage command as a function of the corrected motor current command and the motor current, and feed back the motor voltage command to the motor current limit calculator. The motor voltage command represents a target value for a voltage of the output power applied to the motor. The motor current limit calculator calculates the motor current limit in accordance with the motor current, the converter current limit, and the motor voltage command fed back from the motor voltage command calculator.
