A three-flute drill includes a body, discharge grooves, cutting edges, thinning edges and gash portions. The discharge grooves are provided in an outer peripheral surface of the body. The cutting edges are provided on ridge sections between inner faces of the discharge grooves and flanks of the body. The thinning edge extends from an end of the cutting edge toward a radially inner side. The gash portion includes an R portion and a straight portion. A first ridge line between the R portion and the flank extends while curving toward a rotation direction, from an end of the thinning edge toward a radially outer side. A second ridge line between the straight portion and the flank extends linearly from an end of the first ridge line toward the radially outer side, and connects to the discharge groove further to the radially inner side than the outer peripheral surface.

A strain element (), which is configured such that a frame portion () and a central portion () are connected by arm portions () to (), is masked except for the arm portions () to () where a strain gauge (A) and the like are to be disposed, and then peening is carried out. With this, a compressive residual stress layer is formed on four sides of each of the arm portions () to (). When the strain element () receives a load resulting from an external force, the arm portions () to () elastically deform; however, due to the compressive residual stress layer thus formed, the arm portions () to () are less prone to fatigue failure. When projection of a shot material is carried out as peening, the surface roughness of the arm portions () to () increases, the adhesion of strain gauges improves, detection accuracy improves, and stable measurement can be ensured.

Strain element, strain element manufacturing method, and physical quantity measuring sensor

The present invention provides a force sensor that is capable of detecting plastic deformation of a strain element. The force sensor detects components, in a plurality of directions, of a force exerted on the strain element. The force sensor includes: inspection strain gauges disposed in stress concentration areas of the strain element; and an inspection bridge circuit that includes the inspection strain gauges and that is configured to detect a component, in a specific direction, of a stress that occurs in the strain element.

A wear detection method and system for a linear actuator such as a pneumatic cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder, an electric cylinder or the like. A physical amount detection sensoris mounted on a linear actuator in which a push-pull member connected to a rodpushes and pulls a pressure-receiving object while applying a lateral load in a direction different from the linear movement direction. An external force that is generated between a tube and the mounting member when the pressure-receiving object is pushed and pulled is detected by the physical amount detection sensorand compared with standard external force data, which was detected in a state without abnormalities and stored in a computation/storage/determination processing device, to computationally determine whether the linear actuator is in a normal state or an abnormal state.

Two discharge grooves () are formed in a drill (). A cutting edge () is formed on a ridge section between an inner face () that faces a rotation direction (T) side of the discharge groove (), and a flank (). A thinning edge () is formed from an inner end () of the cutting edge () to the side of a chisel (), by thinning processing, and further, a gash portion () is formed from an inner end () of the thinning edge (), the gash portion extending in a circular arc shape and being connected to the discharge groove () further to an inner side in the radial direction than an outer peripheral surface (). A circular arc groove () is formed in a section connecting a thinning face () and a gash face (). The chips being cut by the thinning edge () are scooped up to the gash portion (), are curled, and are discharged to the discharge groove (). The chips are not likely to become caught by being provided with the circular arc groove (). Since the gash portion () connects to the discharge groove () further to the inner peripheral side than the outer peripheral surface (), the chips are cut relatively small.

[Problem] To provide a main mold and core setting device and a main mold and core setting method which enable core setting work, hitherto implemented by a core setting operator using subtle hand sensation, to be completely reproduced by automation. [Solution] The present invention is provided with: a core grasping and moving means for grasping and moving a core; a core movement amount detection means for detecting a movement amount of the core grasping and moving means; a grasped core position and posture detection means for detecting a position, orientation, and inclination of the core grasped by the core grasping and moving means; a main mold position and posture detection means for detecting a position, orientation, and inclination of a main mold; a sensor for detecting a physical quantity applied to the core; and a control means for constantly calculating relationships between relative positions, orientations, and inclinations of the main mold and the core, and from these relationships and the physical quantity applied to the core detected by the sensor, controlling the core grasping and moving means so that the core is caused to set with the main mold.

The present invention improves the reliability of a force sensor in terms of mechanical troubles. The force sensor includes: a primary bridge circuit that includes a first strain gauge group disposed on a first main face of a strain element and that is configured to detect a component, in a specific direction, of a force exerted on a strain element; and a secondary bridge circuit that includes a second strain gauge group disposed on a second main face of the strain element and that is configured to detect a component of a force in the same direction as the specific direction.

In the method, the height of molten metal located above a molten metal outlet and the weight of molten metal flowing out of the ladle are estimated using an expanded Kalman filter on the basis of: the weight of the molten metal flowing out of the ladle, said weight being measured using a load cell; the voltage inputted to a servo motor; the angle of tilt of the ladle measured by a rotary encoder; and the position of the ladle in the lifting and lowering direction thereof. The sum of the weight of the molten metal flowing out of the ladle when the ladle is tilted rearward, said weight being estimated from the angle of tilt of the ladle and the height of the molten metal located above the molten metal outlet estimated by the expanded Kalman filter, and the weight of the molten metal flowing out of the ladle estimated by the expanded Kalman filter are estimated as the final weight of outflowing molten metal. The estimated final weight of outflowing molten metal is determined whether or not to be greater than or equal to a specific weight of outflow, and the operation of rearward tilting of the ladle is started on the basis of the result of the determination.

The present invention provides a method for green sand molding that prevents a bad casting by producing a mold that does not have a brittle surface. The method has the steps of filling the green sand into a flask while fluidizing the green sand by aeration at a pressure between 0.05 and 0.18 MPa, and squeezing the green sand that has been filled in the flask, wherein a mold is produced so that the friability of the mold is 10 or less. The friability is calculated by the following steps: putting the mold in a rotating cylindrical sieve that has a diameter of 177.8 min and. USA, sieve size No. 8, rotating the cylindrical sieve at 57 rpm for 60 seconds, dividing the weight of the sand that has passed through the sieve by the weight of the sand and multiplying the quotient by 100.
