According to one embodiment, a printer includes an image forming unit, a coloring conversion unit, and a deterring unit. The image forming unit forms an image from a temperature-sensitive ink whose color is changed depending on a temperature on a medium. The coloring conversion unit converts a coloring state of the image of the temperature-sensitive ink by heating or cooling the image of the temperature-sensitive ink. The deterring unit provided between the coloring conversion unit and the image forming unit deters an air heated or cooled by the coloring conversion unit from flowing toward the image forming unit.

Printer and print system

A portable thermal printer includes a housing and an anti-skew unit. The housing is provided with a thermal printer head and a platen roller, and is configured to convey a paper between the thermal printer head and the platen roller. The anti-skew unit inside the housing is configured to contact both side edges of the paper in a width direction to prevent the paper, which is being conveyed, from skewing, and the setting of the width of the paper by the anti-skew unit is configured to be adjustable from outside the housing.

Portable thermal printer

In a rewritable printer of one embodiment which reprints information on a rewritable paper with a thermal print system after erasing by heat information printed on the rewritable paper and discharges it to the outside of the printer through a paper issue port, the printer includes an auxiliary guide having a smooth surface, provided at the paper issue port, to guide the rewritable paper, on which information is reprinted, discharged to the outside.

Rewritable printer

According to one embodiment, a portable thermal printer is disclosed. The portable thermal printer comprises: a housing provided with a thermal printer head; a cover openably attached to an opening portion of the housing by a pivotal shaft, the cover being provided with a platen roller arranged to make contact with the thermal printer head when the opening portion of the housing is closed by the cover; and a drive power source provided within the housing. The drive power source, the pivotal shaft and the platen roller are connected by a belt mechanism.

A printer comprises a conveying unit configured to convey a medium. The printer includes an image forming unit provided in a conveyance path of the medium, the image forming unit being configured to form an image with a temperature-sensitive ink, whose color is changed depending on a temperature, on the medium. A cutter for cutting the medium is provided in the conveyance path downstream of a medium conveyance direction of the image forming unit. Further, a coloring conversion unit is provided in the conveyance path downstream of a medium conveyance direction of the cutter. The coloring conversion unit is configured to change a coloring state of the image of the temperature-sensitive ink by heating or cooling the image of the temperature-sensitive ink formed on the cut medium.

Printer

According to one embodiment, a printer includes a conveying mechanism, a first image forming unit, and a second image forming unit. The conveying mechanism conveys a medium. The first image forming unit forms an image with a non-temperature-sensitive ink whose color is not changed depending on a temperature, on the medium. The second image forming unit forms an image with a temperature-sensitive ink whose color is changed depending on a temperature, on the medium having the image with the non-temperature-sensitive ink formed thereon.

Printer and medium

According to one embodiment, a printer includes a thermal head, a platen roller, and an urging mechanism configured to urge the thermal head against the platen roller. The printer further includes a first separation mechanism configured to move the thermal head from a proximal position where the thermal head is placed adjacent to the platen roller, to a first separation position where the thermal head is placed farther away from the platen roller than the proximal position, and a second separation mechanism configured to move the thermal head from the proximal position to a second separation position where the thermal head is placed farther away from the platen roller than the proximal position and placed closer to the platen roller than the first separation position. The printer further includes an electric-powered actuator having a movable member configured to reciprocate along a lengthwise direction of the printing medium.

A printer includes an upper unit which opens and closes about a fulcrum lying at a rear position of a lower unit, and a paper path which is opened by opening the upper unit. A sensor unit is attached to the lower unit and includes a lower sensor holder and an upper sensor holder which are disposed in opposition to each other via the paper path. The paper path can be opened by pivoting the upper sensor holder relative to the lower sensor holder. When the upper unit is closed, the upper sensor holder is also closed in accordance with a closing pivoting motion of the upper unit.

A portable printer includes: a housing; a platen roller configured to convey a label sheet having a base sheet; a pinch roller configured to rotate following the platen roller via the base sheet; a supporting shaft configured to support the pinch roller; a shaft holder configured to hold the supporting shaft; a removing and inserting section configured to hold the shaft holder to be removable therefrom and insertable thereinto; a pawl section provided in the shaft holder, configured to resiliently hook to the removing and inserting section; a member holding section provided in the housing; and an urging member detachably attachable to the member holding section, nipped by the member holding section and the supporting shaft, and configured to apply pressing force on the platen roller to the pinch roller.

Portable printer

A thermal print head has a row of heating elements arranged in a printing position in which the heating elements row abuts against a platen via a paper guide path. The thermal print head is held so as to be displaceable in an adjusting direction substantially orthogonal to a rectilinear direction between the heating elements row and the platen. Positioning pins projecting from both sides of the thermal print head are fitted in positioning grooves so as to be movable in the adjusting direction The position of the positioning pins in the positioning grooves is displaced in the adjusting direction by displacement of movable pieces each adapted to project selectively from opposite sides of each of the positioning grooves, thereby making the position of the heating elements row adjustable in the adjusting direction.
