The containers are housed in a medicine housing rack (). A medicine included in prescription data is fed from the medicine containerby medicine feeder (). The medicine fed from a medicine feeder () is packaged by medicine a packing device (). Medicine data is read from the medicine identification unit () of the medicine container () by a reader (), and housing site data of the medicine container () and medicine data of a medicine contained in the medicine container () are stored. An arrangement screen including an arrangement view of the medicine containers () corresponding to medicine names is displayed in display (), based on data stored in the memory ().

The movement means is driven and controlled by a control means with a container box being positioned in a specified position based on coordinate data of an injection drug housing member preinstalled in a coordinate data table for moving the injection drug housing member to a graspable position by the grasp means. A tablet feeder of the type in which tablets in a storage case are discharged by rotating a rotor. The tablet feeder can prevent tablets, which are about to be discharged by slight rotation of the rotor, from being inadvertently discharged when the storage case is mounted on or dismounted from a support base. The storage case is detachably mounted on the support base. The rotor is mounted in a bottom portion of the storage case so as to be rotatable about a rotary shaft, and is coupled to a motor through rotary gears at its bottom end. A plurality of small magnets are provided on the outer circumference of the bottom portion, and small magnets are provided at a plurality of locations on the outer circumference of the rotor at predetermined intervals.

A drug filling machine having a plurality of feeders containing a plurality of different kinds of drugs. A plurality of the drugs are discharged from one or some of the feeders into a vial. A sealing unit is provided for sealing the mouth of the vial with a transparent sheet. The sealing unit includes a sheet presser for pushing the transparent sheet into the mouth of the vial to form a sealing sheet having a tray-shaped section, a cutter for cutting the transparent sheet into a predetermined shape, and a heater for fusing the transparent sheet to the top end of the vial to seal the mouth of the vial. A method of inspecting the drugs contained in the vial includes preparing the transparent sheet a sealing portion for covering the mouth of the vial, and a printed portion that protrudes outwardly of the mouth of the vial. After inspecting the drugs in the vial, the printed portion is separated from the sealing portion, and a cap is secured on the mouth of the vial.

A tablet packing apparatus is provided which can split a tablet into halves and wrap each of the half tablets automatically. Tablet supply section 1 supplies tablets housed therein kind by kind. Tablet cutting section 2 cuts a tablet supplied from the tablet supply section 1 into two parts. Tablet accumulating section 3 temporarily accumulates each tablet cut at the tablet cutting section. Tablet packing section 4 packs tablets stored in the tablet accumulating section 3.

Tablet packing apparatus

An ampule storage bag can store ampules for one patient and can engage a transfusion bottle for the same one patient. The ampule storage bag includes a nontransparent sheet and a transparent sheet bonded along the edge to the nontransparent sheet so as to define an opening along the edge. The bag is formed with two holes for engaging a neck of a transfusion bottle. The holes are provided symmetrically with respect to a fold line provided near the opening. Cushion members are provided in the bag to arrange ampules in order in the bag and to prevent breakage of the ampules.
