A gas turbine plant includes a combustion section, a turbine section, an exhaust section, a temperature detecting unit, and a monitoring unit. The combustion section combusts fuel using air to generate combustion gas. The turbine section is driven with the combustion gas from the combustion section. The exhaust section is connected to the turbine section to exhaust the combustion gas from the turbine section. The temperature detecting unit is provided in the exhaust section to measure a temperature of the combustion gas. The monitoring unit generates a warning signal based on a tolerable level and data corresponding to a temporal change of the temperature measured by the temperature detecting unit to indicate an extraordinary state of the gas turbine plant.

This invention provides a clutch engagement detecting apparatus, which can accurately detect the state of engagement of a clutch using a helical spline engagement structure, and a single-shaft combined plant having it, and is constructed as follows: If the difference between the detected value of the rotational speed of a gas turbine and the detected value of the rotational speed of a steam turbine is not more than a detection error by the time a predetermined time elapses after load is charged into the steam turbine, it is determined that the clutch is engaged. If the detected value of the rotational speed of the steam turbine exceeds the detected value of the rotational speed of the gas turbine by a predetermined rotational speed &agr; or more, or if the detected value of the rotational speed of the steam turbine falls short of the detected value of the rotational speed of the gas turbine by a predetermined rotational speed &bgr; or more after detection of clutch engagement, it is determined that the clutch is abnormal. Alternatively, steam turbine rotation pulses are counted for each constant number of gas turbine rotation pulses, and subtraction or addition is done based on the counted value to obtain the relative rotation angle between the steam turbine and the gas turbine, thereby detecting clutch engagement.

A gas turbine plant for limiting a sudden increase of load of the gas turbine, i.e., of the amount of fuel, and suppressing a stress of the turbine, or for maintaining a suitable fuel-air ratio is disclosed. The plant includes a controller comprising a section for calculating a governor signal for controlling the degree of opening of the fuel valve, based on a revolution speed of the gas turbine; and a section for calculating a load-limiting signal for following the governor signal, wherein when the governor signal decreases, the load-limiting signal is larger than it by a predetermined value, while when the governor signal increases, the increase rate of the load-limiting signal has a predetermined upper limit. The controller also comprises a limiting section, into which both signals are input, for limiting the upper value of the governor signal by using the load-limiting signal as an upper limit.

A gas turbine control apparatus for a single-shaft type combined cycle power plant is provided by which gas turbine output is accurately computed during a circulating water reversing wash operation. Vacuum down amount is computed from a generator output signal ( ) immediately before the mentioned reversing wash operation and is corrected by being multiplied by a valve opening correction factor computed from a condenser reversing valve opening signal ( ) and a sea water temperature correction factor computed from a condenser reversing valve inlet sea water temperature signal ( ). A condenser vacuum at the time of the reversing wash operation is computed by the corrected vacuum down amount being subtracted therefrom. A vacuum correction factor is computed based on the computed condenser vacuum. A reference steam turbine output is computed based on a post-intercept valve steam pressure signal ( ) and a steam turbine output signal ( ) is computed by multiplying the reference steam turbine output by the vacuum correction factor. A gas turbine output signal ( ) is computed by subtracting the steam turbine output signal ( ) from the generator output signal ( ).
