A sensor system includes a sensor element, a signal processing circuit, and a pseudo-signal correction circuit. The sensor element outputs an electric signal corresponding to an external force. The signal processing circuit converts the electric signal coming from the sensor element into a signal having a certain signal format and then outputs the signal thus converted. The pseudo-signal correction circuit corrects a pseudo-signal outputted by the sensor element. When receiving a test signal, the sensor element performs a self-diagnosis based on the test signal and then outputs the pseudo-signal, which represents a result of the self-diagnosis. The pseudo-signal correction circuit corrects the pseudo-signal based on environment information about an environment where at least one of the sensor element or the signal processing circuit is located.

Sensor system, sensing method, and program

An angular velocity sensor includes an angular velocity sensor element, a drive circuit, a detection circuit, and a reference potential supply circuit. The angular velocity sensor element has a monitor electrode, a drive electrode, a sense electrode, and a weight. The reference potential supply circuit supplies a reference potential to the angular velocity sensor element. The reference potential supply circuit has a first CV converter, a second CV converter, a comparator, and a reference potential adjustment circuit. The first CV converter is connected to the monitor electrode. The second CV converter is connected to the sense electrode. The comparator compares a frequency of a signal being output from the first CV converter with a frequency of a signal being output from the second CV converter, and outputs a signal depending on a result of the comparison.

Angular velocity sensor and angular velocity sensor control method

An inertial force sensor includes: an acceleration detection element; a temperature sensor that detects an ambient temperature of the acceleration detection element; a bridge circuit that processes an output signal from the acceleration detection element; an AD converter that converts an analog signal output from the bridge circuit into a digital signal, and outputs the digital signal; a calculation circuit that performs calculation on the output signal from the AD converter; and a storage that stores correction data for correcting a variation in the output signal from the AD converter due to a temperature change. The correction data are coefficients of a formula expressed by a calibration curve that is a quadratic or higher-degree curve, and the storage stores, as the correction data, the coefficients of the calibration curve of each of a plurality of patterns that differ between a predetermined temperature or more and less than the predetermined temperature.
