A print producing apparatus of a print producing system is provided with a recording medium conveying section that intermittently conveys a strip-like hologram recording medium, a cutting out section that cuts out, as a piece of hologram recording medium, a predetermined region of the recording medium that includes at least a piece of a holographic stereogram image or a hologram from a hologram recording medium, a film retaining section, and a film supplying section. The film supplying section provides plural sheets of protecting film that are retained, a film opening and closing section that opens and folds a single sheet of the protecting film that has been folded in two along a folding line, a mounting retaining and supplying section that one by one provides plural sheets of mountings, and a laminating section that laminates the piece of hologram recording medium and the mounting with the protective film.

Apparatus and method for producing print

A cartridge for holding a hologram-image recording medium for use with a hologram-image recording apparatus, including locating means for properly positioning said cartridge, for sequentially exposing and recording interference fringes generated by an object laser beam modulated in accordance with each element image of parallax images and a reference laser beam having coherency with respect to the object laser beam is provided. The cartridge includes a light shielding case capable of shielding external light from inside the cartridge. The case also defines an unreeling opening. A core is positioned within the cartridge around which the hologram recording medium is wound. The hologram recording medium is unreeled from the core to an exposing and recording portion of the hologram-image recording apparatus through the unreeling opening when the cartridge is mounted on the hologram-image recording apparatus. A braking mechanism is coupled with the core to brake movement of the hologram-recording medium being unreeled by imparting a load on the core against movement of the hologram-recording medium.

A hologram-image recording method and apparatus are provided which prevents or attenuates vibrations so as to produce a bright holographic stereogram having high diffraction efficiency. Such apparatus may includes an exposing recording portion for sequentially exposing and recording interference fringes generated by an object laser beam modulated in accordance with each element image of parallax images and a reference laser beam having coherency with the object laser beam on a recording medium as an elemental hologram, wherein the object laser beam is incident on a surface of the recording medium and the reference laser beam is incident on one of said surface and an opposite surface of the recording medium. The apparatus may further include a moving device for moving the recording medium in a predetermined direction and a braking device for applying a load to the recording medium which resists the movement thereof.

The various sections of the device are arranged in alignment with a central line passing through a first position of the transfer section, where the disklike plate is overlaid upon the stamper, and at least a second position of the transfer section, where the resin sandwiched between the disklike plate and the stamper is irradiated by the ultraviolet rays is substantially vertical to the alignment of the sections of the manufacturing device.

A method of forming a protective film for an optical recording medium. A protective film forming ink having a viscosity in a range between 0.9 and 100 ps is applied on a surface of a pad, e.g., a semispherical pad, having a Shore A hardness between 8 and 30. The spherical surface of the pad thus applied with the ink is pressed to a substrate of the optical recording medium on which a reflective layer is formed to transfer the protective film forming ink to the surface of the substrate so as to cover the entire surface of the reflective layer and extend over the peripheral edges. Then, the ink is cured to form the protective film.
