A fluid machinery is provided which comprises a stationary spiral having an inner engaging surface, and a moving spiral having an outer engaging surface which is engaged with the inner engaging surface and is rotated upon an axis line X relatively to the stationary spiral. A working chamber which rises spirally from an outer periphery to a center portion with a reduction in volume can be formed by engaging the outer engaging surface with the inner engaging surface, and the moving spiral can be pushed along the axis line X by use of gas pressure, etc.

A helical blade type compressor comprising a case, a cylindrical cylinder provided in the case, a roller disposed in the cylinder, and helical blades of uneven pitches for dividing a compression chamber so that the volume may be gradually smaller in the axial direction between the cylinder and roller, by revolving the cylinder and roller to move the compression chamber in the volume decreasing direction, thereby compressing the air, wherein at least one seal member is provided in the roller for separating into pressure in the case and the pressure in the compression chamber.

Helical blade type compressor and a refrigeration cycle apparatus using the same

A helical-blade fluid machine maintains a low-pressure atmosphere in a closed casing (1) and secures a proper lubrication state for a compression mechanism (9). The fluid machine has a drive mechanism (7) that is installed at an upper or lower part of the casing and consists of a stator (11) and a rotor (15). The compression mechanism is installed at the other part of the casing. The compression mechanism has a cylinder (23) and a roller (25), which is swayed with respect to the cylinder by the drive mechanism. A helical blade (39) having unequal pitches is arranged on the roller, to define compression chambers (41). This arrangement lowers the head of lubricant. An intake pipe (5) feeds gas into the casing so that a low-pressure atmosphere fills the casing.

A fluid machinery is disclosed which is able to assure a large compression volume without an increase in size and achieve high compressibility by suppressing leakage from sealing, thereby improving the reliability. In the fluid machinery, a second spiral 13 having a spiral inner engaging surface 17 formed to have a stepped shape in section is engaged with a first spiral 15 having an outer engaging surface 21 with a stepped sectional shape which rises upwardly from an outer peripheral side to a central side in a spiral manner, so that sealed spaces 25 are formed to cause reduction in volume of sealed spaces in both radial and height directions from a peripheral side to a central side. A closed spaces 35 having an inclination surface 19 is formed between a stepped surface of the outer engaging surface 21 of the first spiral 15 and a stepped surface of the inner engaging surface 17 of the second spiral 13. A spiral member 37 having a slant surface 39 which engages always with the inclination surfaces 19 is provided in the sealed spaces 35 so as to seal the lower pressure sealed spaces 25 and the higher pressure sealed spaces 25.

Fluid machinery having a sealing member between stepped spirals

A fluid machine has-two working mechanisms. Each of the working mechanisms has a fixed spiral, a movable spiral, and a working chamber. The fixed spiral has an inner contact face that spirals from the periphery toward the center of the fixed spiral and has a stepped shape in section. The movable spiral has an outer contact face that spirals upwardly from the periphery toward the center of the movable spiral and has a stepped shape in section. The movable spiral orbits inside the fixed spiral when an eccentric shaft rotates. The working chamber is defined between the inner and outer contact faces. The height and width of the working chamber become smaller as the working chamber shifts from the periphery toward the center of the working mechanism according to the oscillation of the movable spiral.

A fluid machine for transferring working fluid has fixed and rotating spiral members. The fixed spiral member has a stepped internal engagement surface that spirally rises upwardly and inwardly toward its center. The rotating spiral member revolves relative to the fixed spiral member and also has a stepped outer engagement surface that spirally rises upwardly inwardly toward its center. The stepped internal engagement surface of the fixed spiral member engages the stepped outer engagement surface of the rotating spiral member, which together form a compression mechanism. A working space is formed between the engagement surfaces of the spiral members. The capacity of the working space gradually decreases toward the center from the largest to the smallest circumference. A seal member is positioned between the stepped surfaces of the spiral members to seal the working space.

Fluid compressing device having coaxial spiral members

A fluid compressor comprises a rotary member, a cylinder, and a closed casing for receiving the rotary member and cylinder. The rotary member and cylinder are relatively turned so that a fluid is drawn into work chambers through a suction port, successively compressed and conveyed toward a discharge port through the work chambers, and discharged outside. The fluid compressor is provided with a control valve means. When pressure in the work chambers exceeds a predetermined value during the compressing process, the control valve releases the pressure through a discharge or suction end of the cylinder, or to the inside of the casing.

Disclosed is a fluid compressor which comprises a closed case having an inlet for a fluid at one end thereof and an outlet for a fluid at the other, a cylinder fixed in the case, and a rotary member which orbits in and relatively to the cylinder, wherein the rotary member has a compression unit for compressing a fluid supplied into the closed case from the inlet thereof on the orbit movement of the rotary member, then discharging it outside from the outlet of the closed case.

A scroll compressor comprises a first end member having an axis, a second end member facing the first end member, relatively movable crosswise of the first end member and having an axis, a bearing portion extending through either one of central portions of the first and second end members, a first scroll wrap formed in a vortical manner and extending from the face of the second scroll end member, the first scroll wrap having an inner end portion and an inner face, a second scroll wrap formed in a vortical manner and extending from the face of the second end member so as to interdigitate with the first end member, the second scroll wrap having an outer end portion and an inner face, a low gas pressure chamber and a high pressure chamber formed around or in the first and second end members, compressing chambers defined between the first and second scroll wraps, and engaging portions formed on the inner portions of the first and second scroll wraps and each having a guide face, the guide faces of the first and second scroll wraps being formed to remain contacted with the inner end portion of the first scroll wrap and the outer end of the second scroll wrap, respectively, and to guide the respective first and second scroll wraps such that the compressing chambers are moved to compress gas therein stronger during a compressing process of the scroll compressor.

A gas compressor comprises a fixed scroll member and a movable scroll member. A plurality of crescent working chambers are defined between the scroll members so that the volume of the working chambers varies when the scroll members are relatively moved. The compressor has a container which seals a power source and the scroll members and forms inner spaces therebetween. An intake port for drawing a gas from the exterior of the container into the working chambers is formed in the outer peripheral region of the fixed scroll member, and an axial port is formed in the inner region of the fixed scroll member so that the working chambers communicates therewith.

A fluid scroll machine comprises a fluid mechanism including first and second spiral blades located in a frame to eccentrically rotate and a compression chamber defined by the spiral blades, and an Oldham's coupling movably supported by the frame and including a ring-shaped plate having one side facing the first spiral blade and an axis center, a pair of first projections projected from the one side of the ring-shaped plate, and a pair of second projections projected from the one side of the ring-shaped plate. The first spiral blade includes a pair of first guide passages extended in a same direction as a first radial direction of the ring-shaped plate and into which the first projections are fitted to slide in a first radial direction of the plate. The second spiral blade includes a pair of second guide passages extended in a same direction as a second radial direction of the ring-shaped plate and into which the second projections are fitted to slide in the second radial direction of the plate.

A piston is eccentrically arranged in a cylinder along its axial direction and can be rotated relative to the cylinder. Part of the piston is in contact with the cylinder's inner surface. First and second helical grooves are formed in the piston's outer surface and separated at its central portion, the pitches of the grooves being gradually increased from both end portions to the center portion of the piston. First and second blades are inserted in first and second grooves so as to be moved in and out of the grooves with the outer edges of the blades contacting the inner surface. The blades partition a space between the cylinder and the piston into a plurality of operation chambers with volumes corresponding to the gradual pitch increases.

Helical blade type compressor with thrust loss compensation

A scroll-type compressor includes a hermetic case in which a compression section having a pair of spiral scrolls and a motor section for driving the compression section are arranged. The motor section has a rotating shaft coupled to the compression section. A flow passage is formed in the shaft and communicates at its one end with the compression chamber of the compression section and at its other end with a muffler chamber defined above the motor section. An operating fluid compressed in the compression chamber is guided into the muffler chamber through the flow passage, flows around the motor section, and then is discharged from the case.

Scroll-type compressor

A fluid compressor includes a cylinder and a columnar rotary rod. The rod is arranged in the cylinder so as to extend in the axial direction thereof and be eccentric thereto, and orbitable relative to the cylinder without rotation with respect to the cylinder while part of the rod is in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. A spiral groove is formed on the outer circumference of the rod and a spiral blade is fitted in the groove. The space between the outer circumference surface of the rod and the inner circumference surface of the cylinder is divided by the blade into a plurality of operating chambers. The groove has an overall length larger than that of the blade by a predetermined length so that the blade is displaceable relative to the rod in the radial and circumferential directions of the rod without sliding on the inner circumferential of the cylinder.
