A lubricant composition for ball joints exhibits excellent low friction not only at ordinary temperatures but also from higher to lower temperatures, and will not leak out of ball joints at higher temperatures. A ball joint has the lubricant composition sealed therein. The lubricant composition contains a base oil including a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, a thickener, and a fatty acid salt of a compound represented by the formula (1):R&#x2014;NH&#x2014;R&#x2014;NH&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)(R: hydrocarbon group of C1 to C24; R: alkylene group of C2 to C4).

Grease composition

The grease composition of the present invention contains, in a lubricant base oil, 0.01 to 10% by mass of a fatty acid salt, 0.01 to 10% by mass of carbonate, 2 to 30% by mass of a thickener, and 0.1 to 20% by mass of a sulfur type extreme-pressure agent on the basis of the total amount of composition.

There are provided an operating mechanism that drives the opening/closing of contacts, and a sliding conduction part that forms electrical connection of these contacts and the main circuit on receipt of a connection voltage; grease is applied to the mechanical sliding part of the operating mechanism and to the sliding conduction part. The grease has as base oil at least one synthetic oil and is selected from the group consisting of poly &agr;-olefins and dialkyl diphenyl ethers, and contains as thickener 5-30 mass % of a urea compound. The dynamic viscosity of the base oil is 30-500 mm /s at 40&deg; C.

This invention relates to a filling grease composition for automobile wire harness connector which comprises a petroleum oil having an initial boiling point of 400.degree. C. or more and a gelling agent having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a divalent aromatic group represented by a member: ##STR2## as essential components, and the content of said gelling agent ranging from 5 to 50% by weight on the basis of the whole composition.

There is disclosed a lubricant the major portion of which is composed of Duomeen-T-dioleate. It may be associated with a diamide compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.2-4 alkylene radical and R.sup.2 is a C.sub.14-18 alkyl or alkenyl radical, or with various kinds of thickeners and/or waxes. The resulting lubricant has superior performance when applied to a metal-metal, metal-plastics or plastics-plastics sliding surface.
