A spectacle lens includes an optical multilayer film formed on at least one surface of a base. The spectacle lens is formed such that, in a reflectance distribution in a visible region, maximal values appear in a range of wavelengths that are not less than 440 nm and not greater than 460 nm and in a range of wavelengths that are not less than 620 nm and not greater than 640 nm. A blue light ray cutting rate calculated by using a calculation formula described in Japanese Industrial Standards 'JIS T7333 Appendix C' is not less than 7% (preferably not less than 8%) in the spectacle lens. A YI value is not greater than 6 in the spectacle lens.

A plastic spectacle lens includes at least a plastic base. In the plastic spectacle lens, a difference between a highest transmittance and a lowest transmittance for light in a range of wavelengths of not less than 400 nm and not greater than 780 nm, is not greater than 10 points, and an internal transmittance of the base for light in a range (visible range) of wavelengths of not less than 380 nm and not greater than 780 nm is not less than 80% over the entirety of the range of the wavelengths.

It is an object to provide an optical product and the like which have antireflective performance, require less number of types of materials for film formation, have a simple film structure which makes film formation easy and reduces costs, and have sufficient heat resistance. In the optical product, an optical multilayer film having a five-layer structure in which SiOand ZrOare alternately layered is provided on one or both of surfaces of a base. With a layer closest to the base being a first layer, a quotient obtained by dividing a physical thickness of a fourth layer that is ZrOby a physical thickness of a second layer that is ZrOis greater than or equal to 1 and not greater than 4.

An optical product (spectacle lens) according to the present invention includes a base having a convex surface and a concave surface, and an optical multilayer film formed on at least the concave surface of the base. The optical multilayer film has, in total, six layers in which a first layer is closest to the base, and a layer formed of zirconium dioxide and a layer formed of silicon dioxide are alternately layered such that the first layer is the layer formed of zirconium dioxide. A physical film thickness of a fourth layer formed of silicon dioxide is greater than or equal to 10 nm and not greater than 22 nm. A sum of physical film thicknesses of the first layer formed of zirconium dioxide and a second layer formed of silicon dioxide is greater than or equal to 35 nm and not greater than 45 nm.

An optical product has, on one or both of surfaces of a base, an optical multilayer film that has a seven-layer structure where low refractive index layers and high refractive index layers are alternately layered. The low refractive index layers are formed by using SiO. The high refractive index layers are formed by using a material where a refractive index for light having a wavelength of 500 nm is greater than or equal to 2.145. When a layer closest to the base is a first layer, a fifth layer is one of the low refractive index layers, and a physical film thickness of the fifth layer is greater than or equal to 145 nm and not greater than 165 nm. A total of optical film thicknesses of a fourth layer, the fifth layer, and a sixth layer is greater than or equal to 1.3 &#x3bb; and not greater than 1.5 &#x3bb;.

An optical product includes an optical multilayer film on an optical product base, a color of reflected light of the optical multilayer film satisfies a condition of 0.27&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.31 and 0.30&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.36 in a chromaticity diagram (x,y,Y) of a CIE color system, reflectance is always 1 percent or less in a wavelength range from 420 nanometers (nm) to 680 nm, both inclusive, Y is 0.5 percent or less, and the optical multilayer film has a total of seven layers, in which a first layer is counted from an optical product base side, and odd layers are low refractive index layers and even layers are high refractive index layers, and an optical film thickness of a sixth layer is greater than or equal to 0.530&#x3bb;, and not greater than 0.605&#x3bb; when &#x3bb; represents a design wavelength (any value in a range from 480 nm to 520 nm, both inclusive).

Optical product and spectacle plastic lens

In a plastic optical product, an optical multilayer film having a seven layer structure is formed on a surface of a plastic substrate directly or with an interlayer interposed therebetween. In the seven layer structure of the optical multilayer film, a layer on the plastic substrate side is a low refractive index layer, and the low refractive index layers and high refractive index layers are alternately disposed. At least the high refractive index layer at the center of the seven layer structure contains substoichiometric titanium oxide. In a plastic lens for spectacles belonging to such a plastic optical product, the plastic substrate is a plastic lens substrate for spectacles, the interlayer is a hard coat film, and the optical multilayer film is an anti-reflective film.

Plastic optical product and plastic lens for spectacles

An optical product includes an optical multilayer film on an optical product base. A color of reflected light of the optical multilayer film satisfies both of the following conditions in a chromaticity diagram (x,y,Y) of a CIE color system: [1] 0.27&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.30 and [2] 0.30&#x2266;y&#x2266;0.36. The optical product base is a spectacle plastic lens base.

An optical member includes a substoichiometric titanium oxide film formed by depositing substoichiometric titanium oxides in a vacuum chamber into which an oxygen gas for adjusting a vacuum is introduced. In the optical member, the film forming pressure p (Pa) in the vacuum chamber and the optical film thickness (a refractive index of 2.50, a wavelength of 500 nm) of the substoichiometric titanium oxide film have relations of (1) p&#x2267;0.005, (2) optical film thickness &#x2266;0.500&#x3bb;, and (3) optical film thickness &#x2267;(0.001exp(905.73p)&#x2212;0.050)&#x3bb; where exp is an exponential function with e as the base of the natural logarithm.

Optical member, plastic lens for eyeglasses, and method for manufacturing the same

An antifouling film is introduced on a base of an optical product such that (1) an absolute value of a charged electrostatic potential is 2.00 kV or less, and (2) a surface peel strength is 0.10 N/19 mm or less. A hard coat film and an optical multilayer film are placed between the base of the optical product and the antifouling film. An antireflection film is provided as the optical multilayer film, and a base of a spectacle plastic lens is provided as the base of the optical product.
