A transmitting terminal (A) transmits first D2D control information () in one or more subframes within a first subframe pool () within a first D2D control period () and performs data transmission (-) in accordance with the first D2D control information () in one or more subframes within a second subframe pool () within the first D2D control period (). The first D2D control information () contains a second information element indicating whether the first D2D control information () is valid in at least one D2D control period () occurring after the first D2D control period (). This makes it possible to contribute, for example, to reducing failure in reception of scheduling assignment information that is transmitted in a radio resource region for control in a periodic D2D control period and that specifies D2D transmission resources.

A radio communication system includes a first base station that manages a first cell (), a second base station () that manages a second cell (), and a radio terminal (). A radio communication system includes a first base station () that manages a first cell (), a second base station () that manages a second cell (), and a radio terminal (). The radio terminal () supports dual connectivity involving a bearer split in which a first network bearer between the radio terminal () and a core network () is split over the first base station () and the second base station (). The first base station () receives, from the second base station (), bearer split status information about communication of the first network bearer in the second base station (), and performs control of an access stratum related to the first network bearer. It is thus possible to contribute, for example, to an improvement in control of an access stratum when dual connectivity involving a bearer split is performed.

A radio terminal () receives a request and a radio configuration from a network () when the radio terminal () can connect to the network (). The request requests transmission of the radio configuration. The radio configuration includes a radio parameter for sidelink communication () with a second radio terminal () which is in a state of being unable to connect to the network (). The sidelink communication includes at least one of direct discovery and direct communication. The radio terminal () is further configured to transmit the radio configuration in response to this request, and to perform the sidelink communication in accordance with the radio configuration with the second radio terminal () that has received the radio configuration. It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to improvement of the sidelink communication in the partial coverage.

Apparatus and method for proximity-based service communication

A base station () is configured to schedule radio resources to device-to-device (D2D) transmissions (A,B andC) performed by D2D communication pairs (A,B andC) in accordance with an allocation rule that permits two D2D communication pairs (A andC) that are not in proximity to each other to share an identical radio resource but prohibits two D2D communication pairs (A andB) in proximity to each other from sharing an identical radio resource. Each D2D transmission () includes wirelessly transmitting from one radio terminal () directly to the other radio terminal () in each D2D communication pair () without passing through the base station (). It is, thus, possible to enable efficient spatial reuse of radio resources in D2D transmissions performed by D2D communication pairs.

Base station and scheduling method

A method and a radio parameter control system, as well as a network operation management apparatus and a radio station, are provided that enable optimization control for problems varying with sites of occurrence. Using location information at the time of measurement included in a measurement report from a radio terminal () located in a radio cell (C), quality indicators based on measurement information acquired by the radio terminals or the radio station are compiled in association with areas (Ai), each of which is smaller than the radio cell (C), and control of a radio parameter is performed in the radio cell or across a plurality of radio cells, based on a result of compilation of the quality indicators for each area.
