A terminal fittingis provided with a terminal body portionextending in an axial direction and a plurality of protrusionsandprojecting in an intersecting direction intersecting the axial direction from the terminal body portion. The plurality of protrusionsandare arranged side by side in the axial direction and each protrusion has a top surfacealong the axial direction, a front surfaceinclined toward a front side in the axial direction from the top surfaceand a rear surfaceinclined toward a rear side in the axial direction from the top surface. Projection amounts of the plurality of protrusionsandin the intersecting direction are larger for the protrusions more on the rear side in the axial direction.

Terminal, terminal coupling body, and board connector

A connector includes a housing to be mounted on a circuit board, and an upper-stage terminal, a middle-stage terminal and a lower-stage terminal to be held in the housing. Leg portions of the respective upper-stage terminal and middle-stage terminal are arranged side by side in a width direction of a wall portion, and include each a wide portion and a narrow portion arranged below the wide portion. The wide portion of the upper-stage terminal protrudes only toward the middle-stage terminal with respect to the narrow portion of the upper-stage terminal. The wide portion of the middle-stage terminal protrudes only toward the middle-stage terminal with respect to the narrow portion of the upper-stage terminal. A leg portion of the lower-stage terminal is arranged between the narrow portion of the upper-stage terminal and the narrow portion of the middle-stage terminal in the width direction.

Connector

A connectordisclosed by this specification is to be mounted on a circuit board having lands and includes a housingto be connected to a mating housing, and a pair of pegs (board fixing portions)to be respectively mounted into both side portions of the housingand soldered and fixed to the lands. The pair of pegsrespectively have peg-side contact surfaces (fixing portion-side contact surfaces)S to be held in surface contact with a pair of housing-side contact surfacesS located on both side surfaces of the housing. A terminal () to be mounted into a housing () mounted on a circuit board () includes a terminal contact portion () to be disposed in a forwardly open receptacle () of the housing (), an inserting portion () to be inserted into a terminal insertion hole () penetrating through a rear wall () of the receptacle () in a front-rear direction, and a board connecting portion () to be drawn out rearward from the terminal insertion hole () and connected to the circuit board (). The inserting portion () includes a first press-fit portion () projecting in a first direction intersecting the circuit board () and to be press-fit to an inner wall of the terminal insertion hole () and a second press-fit portion () projecting in a second direction intersecting the first direction and to be press-fit to the inner wall of the terminal insertion hole ().

Terminal and board connector

A board connector () is provided with first terminals (), second terminals () and a housing () including a wall () for holding the first and second terminals (). The first terminalincludes a first extending portion () extending out from the wall (), and the second terminalincludes a second extending portion () extending out from the wall (). The first extending portion () includes a first connecting portion () that can be soldered to a land (A) of a board (). The second extending portion () includes a second connecting portion () that can be soldered to a land (B) of the board () at a position more distant from the wall () than the first connecting portion () and a bent portion () is bent to approach the first connecting portion () at a position not overlapping the first connecting portion ().

Board connector and connector with board

It is aimed to provide a terminal capable of realizing a cost reduction while maintaining solder wettability. The terminal has a board connecting portion to be connected to a circuit board, and includes a base and a plating layer. The base has a plated surface covered by the plating layer and an exposed surface. The plating layer on the board connecting portion has a first inclined surface for covering a slope connecting the plated surface and the exposed surface.
