Provided is a binder composition for a non-aqueous secondary battery containing: a particulate polymer formed of a block copolymer including an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer unit and a block region formed of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit; at least one saturated hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of a chain alkane having a carbon number of not less than 5 and not more than 8 and a cycloalkane having a carbon number of not less than 5 and not more than 8; and water. The content of the saturated hydrocarbon is not less than 0.001 parts by mass and not more than 0.1 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the particulate polymer.

The present invention is to provide a method for producing a toner capable of sufficiently decreasing the percentage of moisture content of a wet cake in the process of obtaining colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake), capable of reducing the workload in the following drying process, and thus excellent in productivity. A method for producing a toner comprising the steps of: a process of obtaining an aqueous dispersion of colored resin particles by forming colored resin particles by a wet method; a process of obtaining the colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake) by supplying the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles to a belt filter and performing solid-liquid separation; and a process of drying the wet cake, wherein a filter cloth continuous running type belt filter is used as the belt filter in the process of obtaining the wet cake, and the filter cloth continuous running type belt filter has a separation-washing mechanism, in which the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles is supplied on a lower filter cloth of the belt filter, the colored resin particles are separated followed by washing, and thus the wet cake is formed, and a pressure-ventilation mechanism, in which the wet cake is covered with an upper filter cloth, the wet cake, disposed between the upper and lower filter cloths, is ventilated while pressure is applied to the wet cake, and thus the wet cake having low percentage of moisture content is obtained.

Method for producing toner

The present invention provides a toner for developing electrostatic image comprising a colored particle containing a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent, wherein the toner for developing electrostatic image has two or more peaks of loss tangent (tan &#x3b4;) in the range from 50 to 120&#xb0; C., a loss tangent (tan &#x3b4;) in the range from 100 to 200&#xb0; C. is 0.8 or less, and a dispersed diameter of the release agent is 0.1 times or less shorter than a volume average particle diameter of the colored particle.

Toner for developing electrostatic image

The color toner for developing electrostatic latent images comprising a colored resin particle containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, a charge control agent and a parting agent, wherein an extracted liquid with water by means of a hot water extraction method from said colorant has a pH value in the range from 6.0 to 8.0, said colored resin particle has a volume average particle diameter (Dv) in the range from 4 to 10 &#x3bc;m and an average circularity in the range from 0.93 to 0.995, an amount of extracted components with methanol is 7% by weight or less, and an amount of residual volatile compounds is 500 ppm or less. The color toner for developing electrostatic latent images has excellent image-reproducibility and environmental durability and can form an image with a stable image density under a high temperature and high humidity condition.

Image forming method

A toner for developing an electrostatic image, comprising, a binder resin, a colorant, a charge control agent, and a parting agent, and wherein: a volume average particle diameter (Dv) of toner particles is 3 to 10 &#x3bc;m; a ratio (Dv/Dp) of Dv to a number average particle diameter (Dp) is 1 to 1.3; an average circle degree is 0.93 to 0.995; and location parameter of island-shaped separate phase is 25 number % or more, wherein the location parameter is the percentage of such sectional photo image of toner particles where a maximum diameter of island-shaped separate phase is 1 &#x3bc;m or more and an outermost portion of said island-shaped separate phase is present at the depth of 0.01 to 0.15 time of the particle diameter of each toner particle under the surface.
