A panel drive apparatus that requires no special mechanism inside a device body and that can be easily mounted on the device body. One end of an armis rotatably joined to a mounting platethat can be mounted on the device. The other end of the armis rotatably joined to a panel. The mounting platehas a fan-shaped fixed gear. A panel gear, which is a spur gear, is fixed to the panel. The armhas an idle gearthat is provided between the fixed gearand panel gearso as to be engaged with the respective gears and that can be rotated by a drive mechanism

Display panel drive apparatus

To provide a disk device, which can reliably lead and house a disk into a disk housing section requiring only a small space. The disk device is provided with: a pick armwhich swings and inserts a drive unit for playing a disk D into a space created by splitting a plurality of trays; and a loading armwhich can move between a leading position for abutting on the disk D inserted/ejected with respect to the trayand leading the disk D, and a withdrawing position for withdrawing from the disk to be played. A pick swing cam plate, which controls the drive of the pick armand the loading arm, is provided so as to be slidingly moved by a drive mechanism.

Disk device

A disk selecting device for storing a plurality of disks that can be separated to provide a space for receiving a disk drive unit to play a selected disk within the disk selecting device. A plurality of trays are mounted within the disk selecting device including a drum cam that can be rotated by a drum gear driven by a drive mechanism so that a disk selecting cam groove does not contact those trays that do not contain the disk to be selected for playing whereby a sufficient space is provided to drive the selected disk.

To provide a floating lock device which can smoothly and continuously perform an operation of swinging-in and swinging-out a drive unit and switching between a floating state and lock state with a reduced space and simple configuration. The floating lock device comprises: a pick armwhich can be swung into and swung out of a space created by splitting trayscapable of housing a plurality of disks D; a drive chassiswhich is mounted on the pick armand which has a drive unit playing the disk D; a drive mechanism which drives the pick arm; a floating lock mechanism of the drive chassis; a turning tableon which the disk D is mounted; and a control platewhich transmits drive power of the drive mechanism to the floating lock mechanism.

Floating lock device

To provide a disk clamping device which can reduce a required space for performing disk clamping in the disk device. The disk clamping device comprises: a pick armwhich is swung into and swung out of a space created by splitting trayscapable of housing a plurality of disks D; a drive unit which is mounted on the pick armand plays the disk D; a turning tableon which the disk D is mounted; a clamp armprovided so as to be able to move up and down in substantially parallel with the disk D; and a clamperwhich is attached to the clamp armand holds the disk D with the turning table

Disk clamping device

There are provided: an optical pickup feed mechanism () that detects a disk signal; a disk loading mechanism () that feeds a disk D by means of a loading roller () that is driven by a loading motor (); a mechanism control section () that controls drive of the loading motor (); and an authentication control section () that authenticates the authorized user and outputs a disk ejection instruction to the mechanism control section () if the registered password and disk ejection instruction are input. The authentication control section () is provided with a time setting section () that stores a set time length in memory (), a timer () that measures time, and a time decision section () that determines lapse of the set time length in accordance with the time length stored in the memory section () and the time measured by the timer ().

Disk drive device

In a hard disk unit, a disassembling and assembling unit disassembles and assembles data in accordance with the size of data to be written from host equipment to the hard disk unit and a sector size and a cluster size as a unit to be read or written. An encoder performs predetermined arithmetic operation to generate a specific bit string as an encoding key based on at least the identification information on the host equipment or on a CPU of the host equipment, and encodes the write data by using the encoding key. The encoding process is performed by flipping bits having a predetermined correspondence with the contents of the encoding.

Hard disk unit, information processing method and program

There are provided: an optical pickup feed mechanism () that detects a disk signal; a disk loading mechanism () that feeds a disk D by means of a loading roller () that is driven by a loading motor (); a mechanism control section () that controls drive of the loading motor (); and an authentication control section () that authenticates the authorized user and outputs a disk ejection instruction to the mechanism control section () if the registered password and disk ejection instruction are input.

Disk drive unit

A tilt adjusting apparatus for a disk drive including a support plate which is fixed to a drive plate, and a skew plate which is fixed to a spindle motor, wherein the support plate and the skew plate is attached to each other with guide screws. The skew plate is tiltably supported by the support plate with the use of helical compression springs. The skew plate has bulged portions which abut on gradient portions formed on support plate. The skew plate also has grooves for receiving guide pins which are fixed to the support plate. An adjuster screw applies force to the skew plate in a tangential direction which is perpendicular to the tracking direction of the optical pickup, and thus performs a tilt adjustment in the tangential direction.

Tilt adjusting apparatus for disk drive

A data processing device having a shutter opening and closing mechanism which operates within a path along which a minidisk MD moves to open a shutter only when it is necessary to open the shutter of the MD. A change-over mechanism for diverting the drive force for loading cassettes to the shutter opening and closing mechanism. A recording medium pushing mechanism is arranged to stop a recording medium from being taken out of the magazine to the carrier when there is a recording medium in the carrier. A recording medium take-in/eject mechanism able to reduce the space occupied, and a carrier mechanism which improves the working efficiency during assembly. This makes it possible to provide a data processing device with improved operating properties.

Cartridge carrier assembly for loading and ejecting cartridges

A data processing device for holding a plurality of recording medium cassettes has a housing with an aperture to receive and discharge the cassettes. A holding member can receive a cassette that has been inserted through the aperture and deliver the cassette to a storage rack for storing a plurality of cassettes. A shutter can be activated to close the aperture. A moving elevator plate contacts the holding device, the storage rack, and the shutter member to enable the aperture to be opened when the holding member can receive a cassette and to be closed when the holding member has been moved from a position adjacent the aperture.
