Provided is a sheet feeding apparatus provided with a storage chamber for storing sheets, a sheet feeding unit including a delivery roller for contacting the sheet stored in the storage chamber to deliver the sheet from the storage chamber, a support member for supporting the storage chamber to allow the chamber to be installed and pulled out in/from an apparatus main body, and a press force switch mechanism including an operation member to switch a press force used for the delivery roller to contact the sheet, the sheet feeding unit is configured to be capable of being installed and pulled out in/from the main body apparatus integrally with the storage chamber, and the press force switch mechanism is provided in the sheet feeding unit.

Sheet feeding apparatus

There is provided a sheet feeding apparatus for feeding a sheet. The sheet feeding apparatus includes: a feeding roller that feeds a sheet; and a moving mechanism that moves the feeding roller to a feeding position where the feeding roller contacts the sheet, to a first retracting position where the feeding roller is separated from the sheet, and to a second retracting position lying between the feeding position and the first retracting position.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes: a storage part that stores a sheet, and a feeding part that has a feeding roller for feeding the sheet. The storage part and the feeding part are configured to be integrally inserted/withdrawn into/from an apparatus enclosure. The feeding roller is moved from a feeding position to a retracting position before the storage part and the feeding part are withdrawn from the enclosure.

To enable a bunch of sheets to be reliably discharged to a stack tray, also in the case where weight of the bunch of sheets formed on a processing tray is large, upon receiving a printing command, a main body control section checks information on an ink discharge amount in printing on a sheet, the number of sheets, sheet type and printing mode (two-side/one-side). By this means, the section recognizes weight of the bunch of sheets formed on the processing tray, and when determining that the weight is heavier than predetermined weight, deceases an upper limit value of the number of sheets of a bunch of sheets formed at a time to report to a user.

Image forming system

To enable a bunch of sheets to be reliably discharged to a stack tray, also in the case where weight of the bunch of sheets formed on a processing tray is large, a post-processing control section receives information on an ink discharge amount, the number of sheets, sheet type, and printing mode (two-side/one-side) in printing on sheets from a main body control section of an image forming unit A, in forming a bunch of sheets on the processing tray. The control section thereby recognizes weight of a bunch of sheets formed on the processing tray, and when the section determines that the weight is heavier than predetermined weight, decreases a rotation velocity of a drive motor of a sheet bunch transport means, or increases a current amount applied to the drive motor. By this means, torque of the motor is increased, and the bunch of sheets is reliably discharged to the first stack tray.

Sheet stacking apparatus and image forming system

The present load support apparatus comprises an object support apparatusincludes a regulating devicethat regulates movement of a support frame unitwith respect to a fixed frame unit. The regulating device includes a fixed-side slitthat is formed at a side frameof the fixed frame unit, a movable-side slitthat is formed at a guide frameof the support frame unit, and a regulating memberthat is inserted through the slits. The regulating member is engaged with a movable-side engaging portionat the movable-side slit and a fixed-side engaging portionat the fixed-side slit and the regulating member is locked between the fixed-side engaging portion and the movable-side engaging portion.

Load support apparatus

To realize a mechanism that can support an article at a desired position in such a way as to be able to move the article, with a thin, simple configuration. A load support mechanismincludes a fixed support section, which includes a fixed cam; a movable support section, which receives a load and can move vertically; a horizontal cam groove, which is provided in the movable support section; a cam follower member, which can move horizontally along the cam groove; a first spring, which is mounted between the fixed support section and the movable support section to support a load; and a second spring, which pushes the cam follower member horizontally and presses the cam follower member against a fixed cam surfaceof the fixed cam. A reaction force of the fixed cam against the cam follower contains a vertical component depending on a height position of the movable support section, and the vertical component assists or reduces the spring's force to push up the load. A cam shape of the fixed cam surface is provided in such a way that the load acting around the cam follower, the spring forces of the first and second springs, and the reaction force applied from the fixed cam are balanced against each other.

Load support mechanism

To achieve a mechanism that supports an article at a desired position in a displaceable manner in accordance with a weight of the article with a simple, small, and lightweight structure. An article supporting deviceincludes a base member, a supporting member, a spring memberwhich is a compression coil spring, a spring force transmission member, a cam member, and a cam follower member. The cam follower member is pressed against a downward-facing cam surfaceof the support member, an upward-facing cam surfaceof the spring force transmission member, and a sideward-facing cam surfaceof the cam member by a load of an article and a spring force of the spring member. The downward-facing cam surface and upward-facing cam surface are inclined in reverse directions to each other and disposed opposite to each other with the cam follower member interposed therebetween. A pressing force of the sideward-facing cam surface against the cam follower member includes a vertical direction component depending on a height position of the supporting member. The downward-facing cam surface, upward-facing cam surface, and sideward-facing cam surface are designed such that, in a moving range of the support member, the load, spring force, and pressing forces of the respective cam surfaces against the cam follower member are in equilibrium about the cam follower member.

Provided is an operation handle mechanism with which a handle can be conveniently operated to move a movable section, thereby ensuring smooth operation and movement at any time regardless of an operation position of the handle. An operation handle sectionincludes a handle lever, which is used to operate movement of a support frame sectioncapable of moving up and down, and left and right transmission rodsand, which are joined to the handle lever. The transmission rods can only move a predetermined distance in a movement direction thereof relative to the support frame section, and start to move together with the support frame section after going beyond that distance. The left and right transmission rods are connected via rack sectionsandof the transmission rods and a gear train, andmeshing with the rack sections in such a way as to enable transmission of part of an operation force coming from the handle lever from one transmission rod to the other and thereby allow the two transmission rods to simultaneously move only the same distance.

To provide a post-processing apparatus for preventing a sheet from becoming misaligned in dropping the rear end side of the sheet carried in a processing tray from a sheet discharge path to store on the tray, and enabling the mechanism to be simplified, compact and configured at low cost, a sheet guide that guides a sheet from the sheet discharge path to the processing tray is comprised of a pair of right and left guide members, at the same time in the processing tray are disposed a pair of right and left side edge alignment members, and each guide member and each side edge alignment member are configured to shift to positions in the sheet width direction in an integral manner using a common drive motor.

Sheet post-processing apparatus and image formation system using the apparatus

A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a first unit having a guide device for guiding a sheet, a second unit having a first post-processing device for performing post-processing on the sheet, and a third unit having a second post-processing device for loading sheets and performing post-processing on the sheets in bunch form placed on the processing tray. A first coupling device is provided for coupling the first unit and at least one of the second and third units. A second coupling device is provided for coupling the second unit and the third unit. The second unit and the third unit are capable of being pulled out in the sheet carrying-out direction with respect to the first unit by releasing the first coupling device. The entire or front side of the second unit is shiftable to the first unit side with respect to the third unit by releasing the second coupling device.

Sheet post-processing apparatus and image forming apparatus using the same

A sheet accumulation apparatus includes a tray moving device elevatably provided at an apparatus frame and having a fork member; a tray device detachably attached to the fork member; a driving device for elevating the tray moving device; and a carrier device having a hand truck frame with a fork member. An operation handle is connected to the hand truck frame for accommodating the tray device separated from the tray moving device to transport the tray device from the tray moving device. The tray moving device and the carrier device are structured so that the tray device is transferred between the tray moving device and the carrier device at an attachment/detachment position at which the tray moving device is lowered.

Sheet accumulation apparatus and image formation apparatus including the apparatus

The invention is to provide a sheet accumulation apparatus enabling to uniformly load tabbed sheets into a train of sheets for load and store the sheets on a tray. The sheet accumulation apparatus has a sheet outlet for successively discharging the sheets, a tray means for loading to hold the sheets thereon, a sheet carrier means for discharging the sheets from the sheet outlet to the side of a downstream, a sheet front end regulating means for colliding the sheets sent by the sheet carrier means against the regulating means at the sheet front ends and regulating them, and a sheet rear regulating means disposed to the tray means for regulating the positions of the sheets from the sheet outlet at the sheet rear ends. The sheet front end regulating means comprises (1) stopper member movable back and forth in the sheet carrying direction; or (2) stopper means of two or more disposed back and forth in the sheet carrying direction and selectively facing the sheet front end regulating means; or (3) stopper means movable in a direction traversing with carrying along the sheet head ends; a shift means for driving the stopper means; and a control means for controlling the shift means.
