Provided is a secondary battery comprising a cathode comprising a cathode current collector and a cathode mixture layer containing and a cathode active material, an anode comprising an anode current collector and coating layer, and a non-aqueous electrolyte containing a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt which has been dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent. A surface of the anode current collector is coated with the coating layer. The coating layer contains an alkaline earth metal fluoride. During charge, a lithium metal is deposited on the anode. During discharge, the lithium metal is dissolved in the non-aqueous electrolyte.

Cathode active material and secondary battery using same

Provides is a cathode active material comprising particles each containing a lithium composite oxide, a coating layer containing an ammonium phosphate compound containing a metal other than lithium. The nonaqueous solvent includes at least one solvent selected from hydrofluoroethers, phosphazenes, phosphates, and perfluoropolyethers.

Battery

Provided is a lithium secondary battery comprising a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. A lithium metal is precipitated on a surface of the anode during charge of the lithium secondary battery. The lithium metal is dissolved from the surface of the anode in the non-aqueous electrolyte during discharge of the lithium secondary battery. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a solvent and a lithium salt. The solvent includes a fluorinated ether. The fluorinated ether has a fluorination ratio of more than 0% and not more than 60%.

A nonaqueous electrolyte includes a nonaqueous solvent and an alkali metal salt dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains a perfluoropolyether and a nitrile compound represented by a formula R&#x2014;CN, where Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group which has a carbon number of 2 to 4 and in which at least one hydrogen atom is substituted with fluorine.

A battery electrolyte comprises: a non-aqueous solvent including a perfluoropolyether that is functionalized at only one molecule end, the perfluoropolyether including perfluoroalkyl chains and oxygen atoms in such a manner that a perfluoroalkyl chain and an oxygen atom are alternately bound to each other; and a metal salt that is a magnesium salt, an alkaline earth metal salt, or an alkali metal salt, and that is dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent.

Provided is an electrolytic solution including a nonaqueous solvent and an alkali metal salt. The alkali metal salt is dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. Electrolytic solution and battery

Provided is an electrolytic solution including a nonaqueous solvent and an alkali metal salt. The alkali metal salt is dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains a perfluoropolyether. The molecular ends of the perfluoropolyether are each an unsubstituted alkyl ether or an unsubstituted carboxylate. The perfluoropolyether has a repeating unit composed of a perfluoroalkyl chain and an oxygen atom. A non-aqueous electrolytic solution of the present invention includes: a solvent component including a glyme solvent and a phosphazene solvent; and an alkali metal salt composed of an alkali metal cation and an anion, the alkali metal salt being dissolved in the solvent component. The phosphazene solvent is a cyclic phosphazene compound represented by the formula (1). where Xto Xeach independently represent a halogen atom or OR, Ris a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group or a substituted or unsubstituted saturated aliphatic group, the aromatic group and the saturated aliphatic group each optionally contain a halogen atom, a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or a silicon atom, and the saturated aliphatic group is linear or cyclic.
